ZF EcoFluid Life Plus


Automatic Transmission Fluid for ZF Commercial Vehicles Transmissions

Product description:
ZF EcoFluid Life Plus was specially developed as a fuel economy oil for use in modern
ZF CV automatic transmissions.
The combination of a base oil based on XHVI synthesis technology with a specially
balanced additive package ensures excellent oxidation stability and a constant coeffi-
cient of friction. This oil is explicitly recommended particularly at higher loads caused
by challenging topography or frequent retarder operation, for example.
Optimum transmission-adapted viscosity that remains stable throughout the oil’s ser-
vice life as well as additives optimized for this application guarantee a particularly high
protection level and thus extended service lives of bearings and gears. Moreover, ZF
EcoFluid Life Plus features a flat viscosity-temperature characteristic curve and is
therefore particularly suited for applications in regions with cold or hot climates.

Application:
• ZF EcoFluid Life Plus is the oil favored by ZF for all ZF CV automatic transmis-
sions.
• • ZF EcoFluid Life Plus is approved according to ZF lubricant class TE-ML 14F (for
ZF Ecomat transmissions), TE-ML 20G (for ZF EcoLife transmissions), TE-ML 26D
(for ZF PowerLine transmissions, TE-ML 16Q (for ZF automatic powershift trans-
missions in rail vehicles) and TE-ML 25G (for ZF automatic powershift transmis-
sions for special vehicles and stationary applications). Approvals according to MAN
specification MAN 339-Z14 and MAN 339-Z21 are also available.
• ZF EcoFluid Life Plus is particularly recommended for use in city buses and
coaches as well as for extreme applications, such as demanding topographical
conditions, stop-and-go traffic and frequent retarder operation.
• ZF EcoFluid Life Plus is released according to ZF lubricant class TE-ML 20G and
MAN specification 339-Z14.
• ZF EcoFluid Life Plus can be mixed with all commercially available automatic
transmission fluids. Please note that mixing it with non-fully synthetic products
may have a negative impact on the advantages of ZF-Ecofluid Life Plus. Therefore,
after reoiling with mineral oil-based or partially synthetic ATF, an interim oil change
interval at half of the standard mileage is required.

• ZF EcoFluid Life Plus small container (up to 20 l) must be shaken vigorously for at
least 15 s before removing the oil. Before removing oil, large container (209 l
drum) must be mixed with a suitable and clean stirrer (min. 1500 1 / min) for at
least 60 min at room temperature.
