1. What types of conflict is the team experiencing in the challenge video?

- Differing Process Goals & Interpersonal Differences

2. What aspects of the negotiation process would best resolve the conflict and why
would this work?

- Workplace conflicts are inevitable. The aspects I can think that can resolve the
conflict effectively. The First thing is Active Listening: The fact that you are in the same
organization, you both want the best for the company. So, it is essential to encourage everyone
within the organization to listen actively. Each party should be able to voice its objectives and
concerns without interruption. These fosters understanding and empathy, allowing the parties
to grasp each other's points of view more clearly. The second thing I think can help resolve
the conflict is having Open and Honest Communication: Encourage the parties to
communicate openly and honestly. This includes expressing concerns, explaining underlying
reasons, and being open about desired outcomes. Clear communication promotes trust and
reduces misunderstandings. Lastly, building relationships: Recognize interpersonal
differences and invest in developing positive connections. Encourage participants to look for
common ground outside the current negotiation, such as shared interests or values. Building
rapport and trust can assist in bridging gaps and fostering a more collaborative environment.

3. What conflict resolution behaviors would you use as a manager to address this
situation? Explain your answer.

- As a manager, I would use Communication conflict resolution strategies. Such as the


famous saying, “Communication is the key” to a successful organization. Communication
plays a vital role because it enables the employees as well as the manager to share ideas and
work together towards common goals. In the workplace, good communication also reduces
misunderstandings, develops and engages people, resolves conflicts, aligns corporate goals
and is a productive and harmonious workplace component.
