or mental health issues. To help, we should create safe spaces where people feel
comfortable seeking help without fear of retaliation.

Lack of awareness can indeed be a significant barrier for individuals seeking
help. It’s like wandering in a dark room without knowing where the light switch
is. But fear not! We can turn on that light together. Here are some ways to
increase awareness of available resources:

Educate Others: Spread the word about mental health services, hotlines,
and counseling options. Let your friends, family, and community know that help
is available. Knowledge is power!

Share Personal Experiences: By sharing your own journey or experiences


with mental health, you contribute to reducing the stigma around it. When
people hear relatable stories, they feel less alone and more encouraged to seek
help.
Online Resources: Organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO)
and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) offer valuable information.
You can find resources for yourself, a friend, or a family member.

Stigma refers to negative beliefs or unfair judgments that a society or
group of people hold about something. For example, there’s a social

Impact: Language barriers hinder clear communication, making it


challenging to convey ideas, needs, or emotions.
