The athlete’s fitness index score is calculated with the help of following
formula.
100 X test duration in seconds
……………………………………………………………….
5.5 X pulse count between 1 to1.5 min

Test duration is 5 min. ie 300sec.

No of heartbeats: between 1 to 1.5min is 90

……………………
5.5 X 90

30000

his pulse rate between 1 to 1.5 min was 90, between 2 to 2.5 min. was 80
and between 3 to 3.5 min. was 70.

The athlete’s fitness index score is calculated with the help of the following
formula.

100 X test duration in seconds

(one second up one second down) for 5mintues (150 steps). The same foot must
start the step up each time, and an erect posture must be assumed on the
bench.

After that the athlete sit down immediately after completion of the test i.e.,
after 5min.
Now, the total no of heartbeats are counted between 1 to 1.5min. Again the
heart beats are noted between 2 to 2.5 min. After that, for the third time, the
heartbeats are noted between 3 to 3.5.The heartbeats are counted for 30sec
period.
