 Celebration of New Year in China and Philippines
Learning Resources Paper, Pentelpen, Cartolina, pen
III. Procedures
a. Introductory Activity ( 5  Prayer
minutes)  Checking Attendance
 Recall the previous topic ‘’Asian Festivals”
- Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) – CHINA
- Balinese Dance Festival – INDONESIA
- Taiko Drum Festival – JAPAN
- Lantern Festivals – THAILAND
b. Activity ( 5 minutes) Let the students see and analyze the following pictures.

c. Analysis ( 5 minutes) Ask the students.


1. What do you see on the picture?
2. Do you know, what country that they celebrate these Festivals?
3. What elements and principles of arts they used?
d. Abstraction ( 20 minutes) Discuss the Asian Festivals. ( Refer to the Concept notes in LAS Quarter 4 Wk2)

Show a different pictures of important things used in the festivals. Guess what
festival it belongs and write the elements and principles in Cartolina that you find
e. Application ( 10 minutes)
on each thing. Report in front of the class.
