Objective  Given the content (chapter) the learners will be able to describe and
explain the given chemical reactions and write balanced chemical
equations using symbols and formulae in their notebook with 90%
accuracy.

4. A magnesium ribbon is burnt in oxygen to give a white compound

forms a compound Y.

(b) Write a balanced chemical equation, when X is dissolved in water.
5.Aluminium liberates hydrogen gas when reacted with dilute hydrochloric
acid, whereas copper does not. Explain why?
