KONTRON BROADBAND SOLUTIONS

1. INTRODUCTION
The aim of this Kontron’s questionnaire is to obtain the data,
which will help our support personal better understand setup
incorporation of the new equipment in existing network at the
customer’s site and enable seamless implementation.

2. SERVICE DELIVERY DIAGRAMS

In the following technical diagram solution, a top-level schema
describes the standard home network and last mile network
deployment, which is used for delivering services to end users.

Picture 1: Technical solution – diagram

From the standpoint of the last mile in the network (CPE, DSLAM,
OLT, Fiber Access Switch) are two major concepts how to deliver
services to the end user:
 VLAN per Service; Data, VoIP, IPTV, Management are in
separated VLANSs
 VLAN per User; All services are in one VLAN and NAPTed
(Network Address and Port Translation) to the WAN

b.Data service (internet access)

 Do you prefer single or dual box solution? Please also define
number of Wi-Fi antennas and standard that you prefer (if
you have more CPE segments, please list them and define %
of each segment). Please also define MESH strategy:

Single Box / 2 Antennas / WiFi 6 IEEE 802.11ax

Strategy Mesh: 1 Mesh connected directly through a network

cable to the ONT (Gateway) and the other Mesh linked
wirelessly forming the mesh network.
