A Special School
A report by Eddie Roads
Kiran is a 13-year-old student from Pakistan. Her school isn’t a
regular school. It’s on an old school bus. There are 160 students at
her school. Kiran isn’t at school every day. She has got school four
days a week, for only two hours a day.
On the school bus there are some chairs, some desks and an old
blackboard. There is a computer, too. There aren’t different
classrooms. Students of all ages are together. There also isn’t a
cafeteria, but there is a meal for the students.

At school, Kiran has got reading and writing lessons. There aren’t
any science, geography, history or English lessons. That’s why she
hasn’t got lots of textbooks and notebooks.
Kiran’s school isn’t big or “smart”, but Kiran is happy at her school.
She has got great friends and excellent teachers.
