Now that you have completed your analysis, think about the patterns you have seen in the workforce.
In this final section, you will answer five questions and write a short essay.
1. From the created histogram, it appears that a large share of employees have a salary between $61,000–$110,000 or $141,000–$160,000. This may indicate a reasonab
promotion rate for employees. Is this distribution unimodal or bimodal? Please explain.
The distribution is bimodal due to not one but two picks demonstrated on the histogram - the larger pick on $80,000-$100,000 and the smaller one on $150,000-$160
The first pick can definitely indicate a promotional rate as the number of employees in $50,000-$60,000 bracket is significantly increased by the $80,000-$100,000 bra
The histogram can also indicate that a company provides opportunities for promotions with drastic salary increases in attempts to retain talent and provide career gro
2. The line chart, as detailed in your "Graph Charts" Excel spreadsheet, shows sales generally increasing over the years, although sales in the first three years were notabl

and apply the Forecast tool to this data or use the forecast function in excel. You will generate a chart on a new sheet with projected sales; rename this sheet "Projected
As a result of Forecast Tool utilization , I was able calculated the projected sales for 2020 thorough 2024. I have also modified the graph to only display the past 10 yea
projected sales for the ease and readability.
3. The standard deviation provides insight into the distribution of values around the mean. If the standard deviation is small, in general, the more narrow the range betwe
lowest and highest value. That is, values will cluster close to the mean. From your descriptive statistics, describe the standard deviations of Salary, Hourly Rate, Yrs. Worke
Education, and Age. What does this tell you about the variables?
Based on statistical data results in section 3, the standard deviation of Salary is high ($32,852 ) . This is an indication that there is a significant variation in salaries with
company (salaries are within $32,85 of the mean). If we look at the salary of CEO ($239,315) and a staff level employee ($32,367) we will notice an enormous differen
results in high variation.
The standard deviation of the hourly rate is $15 , which indicates that there is a significant variation in hourly rate within the company, provided that the mean is $65
Therefore we can conclude that funds are not being distributed fairly in the provided organization.
The standard deviation of years of service is also high - 4 , with a mean of 7 , which indicates that employees do not stay at this organization for a long time and they
need to address their retention policies.
The standard deviation of education at 1.8 is low, with a mean at 16. This indicates that the average of the workforce are educated.
The standard deviation of age is high at 9.9 years and mean at 42. This which indicates that there is a large variance in age across workforce with the majority of work
being 42 years of age.
4. The company has a keen interest in the educational, race, and gender makeup of its workforce. Its emphasis is on a diverse, dynamic workforce. From your "Graph Cha
spreadsheet, describe your pie chart findings for these characteristics of the workforce. Describe how you would determine if the company was meeting expectations on
characteristics.
There is a big gap in gender equality as There are more males (295) than females (77). For the education level - the majority of the employees have Bachelors degree (
When it comes to race - most of the workers (58%) are Caucasian, followed by African-Americans (26.34%), followed by an even smaller percentage of Asian(6.72) and
Hispanic(8.87%). Overall, there is still work that needs to be done as in a diverse workforce, the percentage distribution should be close to equal, which will indicate e
career and education opportunities, however in this case, the company does not meet all standards of equal opportunity requirements, since Caucasians and males a
dominating the workforce.
5. The company is conducting an analysis on how many positions to create to keep up with demand. Specifically, it wants to know an estimate of the number of positions
title. From your Excel chart, identify the mode of the job title distribution. Describe your findings.
Based on the roles distribution chart, the highest number of positions in the company is Machine with the count of 159, which indicates that the position is critical to
production and growth. The next position is gen shop. However , the mode of roles is at number 1 , which covers mainly managerial positions, which indicates that th
level employees outnumber the managerial staff.
FINAL ESSAY:
Now that you have done all the work with data, you will write a short three- to four-paragraph summary of your analysis. This is important. While you have done a wonde

Upon completion of the analysis of the data provided , I was sable to determine the given company's salary distributions, based on the bimodal distribution depicted
histogram that also demonstrates company's desire to retain their employees. Additionally, I was able to note significant variations in salary, years of service, hourly r
age. Based on the data provided I was also able to note that the company has locations in multiple regions and the salary varies by the region as well. Furthermore, I
that although the company is thriving for the diversity, the equal opportunity requirements are still to be met as the majority of the positions are still being held by th
Caucasian men with the average age of 42 and the majority of workers occupy the "Machine" role in the organization. The sales analysis showed that the company ha
maintaining a steady pace/growth ever since 2003.
The fact that the majority of positions are line level "Machine" roles indicates that physically strong individuals are preferred to perform at this position which explain
Caucasian males are taking up the majority of the workforce. We can also explain the large age gap amongst the employees by applying the same logic - where the jo
require physical strength are most likely to be occupied by younger workers that need a job for the time being, for instance while attending school - which also explai
turnover. We can also suggest that the organization attempts to retain their staff level talent once they acquire their Bachelor's degree by bumping up their salaries an
them for more advanced positions - which would explain the histogram results and the fact that the majority of the employees are educated. There is one noticeable
within the analyses when it comes to the employee: manager ratio, where employees outnumber managers. I would definitely taken this finding as an action item, sin
not addressed in timely manner, can cause a problem for the workflow operations if there are not enough managers to oversee, train and coach.
The findings noted above and within all the tabs of the current analyses can help to analyze company's performance, diversity and patterns. They can also be analyzed
more granular levels for the purpose of projecting future trends, polishing the diversity situation, improving the new hire processes along with the employee retentio
procedures, and of course for the purpose of exploring potential areas to grow.
