I agree with this statement because long with advances in science and
technology, the field of telecommunications is also progressing quite rapidly,
communication is an important thing that is considered capable of helping
human life. Since the invention of communication tools, the movement of
human life has become easier and feels closer. One of the communication
tools used today is the telephone.
The longer the consumer's mindset changes with the times. Consumers
who used to only use a communication tool, called a telephone, are now
starting to switch to using cell phones. Cell phones have several advantages
over landline phones, namely that they can be carried wherever we go.
Gradually, home telephones began to be abandoned by consumers so that
102 telecommunication service providers could take new opportunities from
the unfulfilled wants and needs of consumers, Because consumer purchases
are a source of company income. Therefore, consumer decisions in buying
must really be considered through consumer behavior in decision making.
One way for consumers to make decisions to buy a product or service is
through promotion, namely communication that informs prospective buyers
of an income or something or obtains a response. (Lamb, Hair, McDaniel,
2001, p. 146). In carrying out its business, promotional activities are a very
influential marketing system for the company, where it can be obtained an
understanding that promotion acts as a marketing strategy that has
advantages in increasing the most important factor is increasing sales volume.
Promotion in attracting consumers to decide to use services is a powerful tool
in achieving sales goals and targets. Promotion can stimulate consumer
demand for products produced by the company.
