DPS STS School Dhaka becomes the first school in Bangladesh
to launch the Cambridge Early Years Programme

The STS Group has partnered with the Cambridge University Press and Assessment under the University of Cambridge to delightedly
announce the launch of "Cambridge Early Years Programme" (Cambridge EY) in Bangladesh through Delhi Public School (DPS) STS School
Dhaka.

A signing ceremony, held on 22nd August 2023, at the DPS STS Junior School auditorium featured the Managing Director of the Cambridge
University Press and Assessment, South Asia, Mr Arun Rajamani, and the CEO of STS Group, Mr Manas Singh, wherein they signed the
agreement for offering Cambridge Early Years on behalf of their respective organisations. Principal of the DPS STS School Dhaka, Dr
Shivananda CS, Vice Principal Ms Sumona Karim, Head of Pre-Primary Section Ms Kaniz Fatema Ahmed, Head of the Marketing and

10 Admissions Ms Nabamita Momtaz, and other esteemed guests attended the ceremony alongside parents and DPS STS students.

 We are ecstatic to announce that the DPS STS Mustangs Red and DPS STS Mustangs - Girls have been crowned the
champions in both boys and girls categories in the DPS STS Inter-School Basketball Tournament (DIBT) 2024, held at the
140 Senior School campus on 7th, 8th and 9th March 2024.
 The annual inter-school basketball tournament of DPS STS featured a large number of school teams this year. The institutions were Scholastica
Uttara, Scholastica Mirpur, Sunnydale, International Hope School Bangladesh, Rajuk Uttara Model College, Adamjee Cantonment College,
141 Ebenezer School, Excel Academy, and Aga Khan Academy.
 The American International School Dhaka (AISD) organized a swimming competition on the 22nd and
23rd of September 2023, where premier schools from Dhaka competed. Among the standout participants
was DPS STS School Dhaka, whose swimmers left an indelible mark on the competition, by securing 56
ribbons, as well as an impressive third place in the overall team standings. 24 students from DPS STS
participated in this competition.

This year, our in-house
pastoral counselors have
made significant contributions
to the well-being of the school
community through a variety
of initiatives. With regular one-
on-one sessions, the
psychologists have provided
students with personalized
emotional support, while
regular parent meetings have
fostered collaborative efforts
to address student needs.
Teacher training workshops
focused on mindful emotional
expression and classroom
management have empowered
educators to create more
emotionally aware learning
environments. Additionally,
the psychologist led several
seminars on stress
management and emotional
regulation, and introduced
newly added well-being
classes, which have become an
integral part of the curriculum,
promoting mental health and
resilience throughout the
school.

Qualifications
in Session
2023-24
In the Session 2023-24, the DPS
STS Professional Development
Qualifications Centre (PDQ)
completed the Cambridge
International Certificate in
Teaching and Learning training
of its 3rd Cohort of 16 teachers
from the Junior and Senior
campuses. The PDQ center also
received its certification to
offer the International
Cambridge Diploma in
Teaching and Learning to
teachers in Bangladesh. The
first cohort of 11 Certified
teachers have joined the
Diploma training from June
2024 and are scheduled to
complete by next year.
The PDQs focus on Cambridge
Teaching and Learning Key
concepts that include: Active
Learning; Assessment for
Learning; Metacognition,
Differentiation among other
concepts and practices.
