MERSCORP PRIVACY POLICY


MERSCORP, I nc. recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of your personal information when you access or use our web site www.mersinc.org. I f you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use this Site. This Privacy Policy does not govern privacy practices associated with accessing MERS products through this web si te. Those sites are governed by the MERS Governing Documents (Terms and Conditions, Membership Rules and MERS Procedures Manual). Information Collected by Us When www.mersinc.org is accessed, we may automatically collect non-personal information about the visitor to the site. This information may include the name of the domain and host from which you access the internet; the type of Web browser that visitors use, the type of operating system in use, I P addresses, and the number and frequency of visitors who visit various pages of our site. We use this information as anonymous aggregate data to determine the number of visitors to our site and to help us make the site more useful. We do not use it to t rack or record information about individuals. We do not sell this information to third parti es. I f you registered for a MERS Conference on-line, we will ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as name, mailing and billing information, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information, company name and job title. Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. If you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to register on-line for the User Conference. We use the personally identifiable information you provide for registrat ion purposes only. We do not share any of your personally identifiable information with other entities, with the exception of credit card validation. We will send you confirmation of your on-line registration once we have processed it. Only registered MERS members can access MERS products and other restricted sites through using a unique Organizational I D, user name and password. We recommend that you do not divulge this information to any one. I n addition, all information provided through these restricted sites resides on a secure server that only selected MERS personnel and contractors have access to via a password. We may transfer or otherwise disclose personally identifiable information: I n response to judicial process To protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud, claims, or other liability To provide information to law enforcement agencies or in connection with an investigation on a matter related to public safety, or I f required to do so by law. We do not sell any personally identifiable information that you may enter on www.mersinc.org and do not sell or disclose any such information to third parties for marketing purposes. Other Web Site/Linked Third Parties Our Web site may contain links to third party Web sites. Our privacy policy does not apply to these linked sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any of the linked sites. You should review the posted privacy statements on any Web site you visit.
