• Learning outcomes of visit-

This visit was held in two sessions. First session was introductory part of laser cutting
machine, manufacturing machines. Second session was the introductory part of designs
and projects area, packing.
After attention gaining introductory part they shown the different types of machines and
gave brief information about those.

1. Robotic Arms
- Articulated Robots: These are multi-joint robotic arms used in various tasks like
welding, material handling, assembly, and packaging.
- SCARA Robots (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm): Used for tasks like
pick-and-place, assembly, and precision handling of small components.

2. Material Handling System

- Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs): These autonomous mobile robots are used to
transport materials around factories and warehouses.
- Conveyor Systems: Custom-built conveyor systems for efficiently moving parts and
products within a manufacturing facility.
- Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS): These machines manage inventory,
automatically retrieving and storing products in warehouses.

3. Assembly Lines
- Automated Assembly Stations: These lines integrate robotic arms, sensors, and
conveyors to automate the assembly of complex products, especially in automotive and
electronics sectors.
- Modular Assembly Lines: Flexible assembly lines designed to be reconfigured for
different product types or production runs.

4. Welding Machines
- Robotic Welding Stations: These stations use robotic arms for automated welding,
ensuring consistent and high-quality welds, especially for metal components in
automotive manufacturing.
- Laser Welding Systems: Used for precision welding of components, offering speed and
accuracy for high-volume production.
5. Vision Systems
- Machine Vision Inspection Systems: These machines are equipped with cameras and
AI-driven algorithms to inspect products for quality control, detecting defects and
ensuring high precision in manufacturing processes.
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Systems: These systems automatically read and
verify labels, barcodes, or other markings on products during production.

6. Painting and Coating Robots

- Robotic Spray Systems: Automated systems for painting and coating, ensuring
uniform application in sectors like automotive and heavy machinery.
- Powder Coating Robots: These machines handle the application of powder coatings,
providing a clean and efficient finishing process for metal components.

7. Machining Centers
- CNC Machines (Computer Numerical Control): Precision machining centers used to
fabricate complex metal and plastic parts, ensuring high tolerance levels.
- Robotic Machine Tending: Robots used for loading and unloading parts in CNC
machines, increasing efficiency and reducing the need for human operators.

8. Testing and Calibration Equipment

- End-of-Line Testing Stations: These machines test the functionality of assembled
products before they are shipped, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Robotic Calibration Systems: Used to calibrate tools and equipment to ensure precision
in manufacturing processes.

9. Press and Forming Machines

- Robotic Press Tending Systems: These robots automate the process of feeding and
handling materials in press machines, improving safety and productivity.
- Forming Machines: Machines used to shape metal parts through processes like
stamping, bending, and forging.

10. Pick-and-Place Robots

- These robots are designed to pick up products from one location and place them in
another, typically used in packaging, sorting, and assembly.

11. 3D Printing Machines

- Industrial 3D Printers: Used for rapid prototyping and manufacturing complex parts
with high precision, helping in product development cycles.
