Online Bus Ticket Reservation System

Project Objective:

The primary objective of the Online Bus Ticket Reservation System is to provide a
user-friendly platform for passengers to search, book, and manage bus tickets online.
The system will automate the ticket booking process, track seat availability, and
handle payments, ensuring efficient and reliable service for both passengers and
administrators.

Functionalities:

User Registration and Login:

● Passengers can sign up and create an account to log in securely


using email and password.
● Users can manage their profile details.

Bus Search and Route Selection:

● Users can search for buses based on route, travel date, and time.
● Display available routes, timings, fare, and bus details.

Seat Selection:

● Passengers can view seat availability and choose their preferred


seats.
● Real-time seat availability is updated after each booking.
Booking and Ticket Confirmation:

● Users can book tickets by selecting the bus, route, and seat.
● A confirmation message will be displayed with booking details.

Payment Integration:

● Users can pay for their tickets online through various methods
(credit card, debit card, etc.).
● Payment status is tracked and stored in the system.

Booking Management:

● Users can view their booking history, upcoming trips, and cancel
bookings if needed.

Admin Panel:

● Admins can manage buses, routes, and seat availability.


● Admins can view all bookings and manage cancellations or refunds.

Expected Outcomes:

● For Passengers:
○ A seamless and efficient booking experience with the ability to
view real-time seat availability, make payments, and manage
bookings online.
● For Administrators:
○ A system to manage buses, routes, and bookings effectively.
○ Real-time monitoring of seat availability and bookings to
improve operational efficiency.
● For the Business:
○ Reduced manual workload, better customer satisfaction, and a
more streamlined process for bus reservations.
Overall, the project will simplify the bus reservation process and improve
customer and business experiences through an easy-to-use, efficient
system.
