devices for which the opening and closing are controlled by Sepam may be controlled locally via the mimic based
UMI. The most common interlocking conditions may be defined by logic equations or by Logipam.

Operating procedure:
select the LOCAL control mode on the key-switch

select the device to be controlled by moving the selection window using the keys Sepam
checks whether local control of the selected device is authorized and informs the operator (selection window
with a solid line).

selection confirmation for the device to be controlled by pressing the key (the selection window flashes).
device control by pressing:

key : open order

or key : close order.

Commissioning

Energizing
The Sepam supply voltage must be between 24 V DC and 250 V DC. After Sepam is switched on, it performs the
following initialization sequence, which takes approximately 5 seconds:

ON and LEDs switch on, “Sepam” on screen

LED switches off
watchdog contact picks up

The first screen displayed at the end of the sequence is the phase current metering screen.

Diagnosis

At the end of the initialization sequence, the LED should be off.

LED flashing: minor fault detected, Sepam in downgraded operation

check the connection of the MET148-2, MSA141 and MCS025 modules.

LED steadily on: major fault detected, Sepam in failsafe position

check that the CCA630, CCA634 or CCA671 input connectors are plugged in
check the connection of the strap between terminals 19 and 20 of connector (DPC, detection of plugged
connector function).

If the LED is still not off, refer to the “Maintenance” chapter of the operating manual.
If the “LOW BATTERY” message appears, check that the battery is present and in the correct position
(check that polarities match).

Parameter setting with SFT2841

The SFT2841 parameter setting and the operating tool is essential to:

prepare Sepam parameters

to prepare protection and control function settings.
transfer the parameters and settings into Sepam.
Passwords
Sepam has two 4-digit passwords:

parameter setting password, which allows entry of all general parameters and protection settings
protection setting password, which only allows entry of protection settings
