Several languages die every year.

Many people feel this is a positive trend and


that a world with fewer languages promotes harmony and understanding
between people. Analyze both sides of this argument and provide your opinion.

You should write at least 250 words.


There, which are thousands of languages in the world, but many of them
disappear every year. However, some people believe that this is a good trend
because the world will have fewer languages, which helps people in the world
better understand each other as well as makes the world more peaceful. In the
following essay, I will discuss the viewpoint and add my own opinion.

On the one hand , there are certainly numerous benefits to using the same
language. The changes of languages and their evaluation cannot be prevented.
Language changes because people need better and easier communication way.
As an example, using English as a capital language unites a majority of people
around the world. People using this language can easily understand each other
because it is normally taught in school. If people uses single language then the
communication will not be a problem.In addition, this trend cuts down social and
cultural discrimination among people because the majority of them use a
common language in order to maintain the social relationship
On the other hand, one thing that gets majorly affected by it is the
culture.Language is the identity of one's race which every race in the world has
its own language to speak on. In fact , it is should be learnt by every individual so
that they can pass on their language to their next generation. For example ,
language and communication are responsible for the birth of culture in Egypt.
Futhermore, fewer languages in the world would mean many cultures and
traditions will be disappear in the near future. It is because cultures and
traditions of one's race can only be well-learnt through its own language. For
instance, if English, French, Korea and Chinese become the only four languages
using in the whole world,it is impossible for people to understand well about how
to make Japanese tea, and how to cook Japanese food, such as sushi , Udon
noddle, Tempura,....ect .

In conclusion, I think both opinions have their advantages and disadvantages.


However, in my opinion, I believe the loss of numerous languages will definitely
cause many negative impacts on our lives . I think that the variety of languages
shows the richness of the world culture and they should be passed to the next
generation.
