SUB: LEGAL NOTICE UNDER SECTION 138 OF THE


NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS ACT, 1881
Dear Sir,

Through this communication, I am serving a legal notice on behalf of my


client, Mr. Adarsh, whose address is House No. 3, Ground Floor, Greater
Kailash I, Delhi - 110048 (hereinafter referred to as "my client"), in relation
to the dishonor of a cheque issued by you in his favor.
1. That my client is a respectable business owner of selling Printing
Press Machinery. On July 5th, 2024 you the addressee purchased
Machinery worth Rs. 10,00,000 from my client. In lieu of the said
purchase you issued a cheque dated July 11th, 2024 drawn on
HDFC Bank, Gole Market Branch, for the full amount of Rs.
10,00,000 in favor of my client, cheque number “000234”.

2. The said cheque was presented by my client to his banker at HSBC


Bank, R-47, Block R, GK Enclave I, GK, New Delhi 110048 for
encashment on 12th July,2024.

3. That the said cheque was dishonored by the drawee bank with the
remark “insufficient funds” on July 15th, 2024.

4. That my client informed you about the dishonoring of cheques on


the same day and requested you multiple times to make full
payment via Online Bank Transfer but you failed to do so.

5. That despite the lapse of the stipulated time, the amount has not
been paid. Therefore you are hereby called upon to make the
payment of said sum of Rs. 10,00,000 within 15 days from receipt
of this notice. Failure to comply with this demand within stipulated
time will compel us to initiate civil and criminal legal proceedings
against you under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act,
1881, without any further notice.

Please note that this notice is without prejudice to our rights to claim
interest, compensation, and costs as per the applicable laws.
Furthermore you are asked to pay Rs. 10,000 more towards the cost of
sending this notice.
