IT Rats Tech Solution. IT Rats Tech Solution is seeking a proficient SysOps Engineer for our
esteemed UK client. Candidates should possess fluent English skills. The role is remote.

We're looking for a highly motivated SysOps Engineer to join our cloud team, working fully
remote. You will be part of a key team responsible for managing our e-commerce platform's
environments and platforms. This role involves provisioning, operating, and maintaining
distributed applications and systems on AWS, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
Your work will support millions of shoppers globally.

More specifically, you will:

 Work with developers and integration specialists to enhance our cross-border e-


commerce platform, supporting multilingual, multi-site, and multi-currency sites.
 Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS
services.
 Implement and enforce cloud security strategies and tools to protect infrastructure and
data.
 Use AWS CloudFormation, Serverless Application Model (SAM), and Serverless
frameworks to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
 Develop and maintain deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions to facilitate automated
software delivery.
 Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of AWS-hosted systems and
applications through proactive monitoring, analysis, and optimisation.
 Utilise AWS native and third-party monitoring tools to detect issues, perform root cause
analysis, and implement remediation actions.
 Be on call at various times for out of hours support and incident escalation.
 Respond to production incidents and escalate to various teams as required.
 Manage user/application access and permissions in AWS IAM, Google Workspace,
Keycloak, and other third-party systems.
 Develop comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and playbooks for incident response,
troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
 Database Management, working with production relational databases (MySQL,
PostgreSQL).

We would love to hear from you if you have:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.


 Strong organizational skills with experience in managing projects using JIRA.
 Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
 Quick learner with the ability to work with best practices.
 Robust problem-solving abilities.
 Familiarity with Agile methodologies, capable of meeting deadlines and managing
multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
SysOps Engineer

 Strong knowledge of AWS services including IAM, EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, RDS,
DynamoDB, S3, etc.
 Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with CloudFormation.
 Good understanding of cloud networking architectures, security principles, and best
practices in a cloud environment.
 Experience with container technologies like Docker.
 Strong understanding and experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
 Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
 AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions
Architect) is desirable.
 Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
 Ability to develop and enforce best practices for cloud operations.
 Experience in working with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
