2024 Usa Basketball Men'S National Team: Bam Adebayo
The 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team is highlighted by 12 athletes with extensive USA
Basketball experience including three-time Olympic champion Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns) and
the NBA’s all-time scoring leader LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), who owns a pair of Olympic
gold medals.
In addition to Durant and James, the 2024 USA Men’s National Team features Bam Adebayo (Miami
Heat), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Davis (Los
Angeles Lakers), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers),
Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Jrue Holiday (Boston Celtics), Kawhi Leonard (L.A. Clippers)
and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics).
The 2024 USA Men’s National Team will be led by head coach Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors),
who is assisted by Mark Few (Gonzaga University), Tyronn Lue (L.A. Clippers) and Erik Spoelstra
(Miami Heat). Last summer, the quartet coached the 2023 USA Basketball Men’s National Team to
a fourth-place finish at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup in Manila.
The 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team, which will compete at the Olympic Games Paris
2024, set for July 26-Aug. 11, 2024.
As part of Group C, the American men will face Serbia on July 28, South Sudan on July 31 and
the winner of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) in Puerto Rico on Aug. 3 in the first round
of the Olympic tournament. The 5-on-5 Olympic basketball group phase will take place in Lille,
France, before the tournament moves to Paris for knockout and medal rounds.
BAM ADEBAYO
Adebayo will become a two-time Olympian after winning a gold medal in Tokyo in 2020. In
six games, he averaged 19.3 mpg, 6.3 ppg, team-leading 5.7 rpg, 1.8 apg and team-high-
tying 1.2 bpg, while shooting 57.1% from the field. Adebayo made his USA Basketball debut
at the October 2012 Junior National Team minicamp and participated in the 2019 USA
Basketball Men’s National Team training camp.
DEVIN BOOKER
After training with the 2016 USA Men’s National Team as a member of the USA Select Team,
Booker made his USA Basketball national team debut in 2020, winning a gold medal at the
2020 Tokyo Olympics. In all six games (5 starts), he averaged 20.7 mpg, 9.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg
and 1.8 apg, while shooting 92.8% from the foul line (13-14 FT).

STEPHEN CURRY
Curry, a two-time FIBA World Championships gold medalist in 2010 and 2014, will make his
Olympic debut this summer. After beginning his USA Basketball career by winning silver
at the 2007 FIBA U19 Men’s World Championship, Curry helped the USA to its first World
title since 1994 and followed it with a second four years later.
ANTHONY DAVIS
Davis is one of eight players to have won an NBA (2020), NCAA (2012) and Olympic (2012)
title and is the only player to have added a FIBA World Championship gold medal (2014). In
2012, he was the only player on the roster and first since Emeka Okafor in 2004 to appear
in the Olympics before playing an NBA game. Davis’ USA Basketball career tipped off at the
2011 Nike Hoop Summit with a 92-80 win over the World team.
KEVIN DURANT
Durant is the most decorated Olympian on the squad, having won three Olympic (2012, 2016,
2020) gold medals and adding a FIBA World Championship title in 2010. He is the reigning Olympics
MVP; 2010, 2016 and 2021 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year; 2010 FIBA World Championship
MVP; and a member of the 2010 FIBA All-World Team. Durant is the USA’s all-time Olympic statistical
leader in total points (435), scoring average (19.8 ppg), field goals (146), 3-point field goals (74) and
free throws (69). He ranks third in rebounds (118) and blocks (16) and fourth in games played (24)
and assists (71). He will become one of three Americans to play in four Olympics, including Carmelo
Anthony and James.
ANTHONY EDWARDS
After training alongside the 2020 USA Men’s National Team as part of the USA Select Team,
Edwards came onto the national team stage at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Edwards was
named to the All-Star Five with averages of 18.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.1 spg in 25.9
mpg through eight starts as the U.S. finished fourth.
JOEL EMBIID
Embiid will make his USA Basketball debut in Paris. He declared his goal of representing
the United States in October 2023, having the opportunity to have represented the USA,
France and Cameroon.

TYRESE HALIBURTON
Haliburton’s national team career began with a 2019 FIBA Men’s U19 World Cup gold
medal win and All-Star Five honors after leading the tournament with 6.9 apg. He trained
alongside the 2020 USA National Team as a member of the USA Select Team before
making his senior national team debut at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. He averaged 8.6 ppg,
3.0 rpg, team-high 5.6 apg, team-best 1.5 spg, 1.1 bpg and 21.5 mpg and shot 51% from
the field and 47% from 3 (17-36 3FG) while helping the U.S. to a fourth-place finish.
JRUE HOLIDAY
Holiday will compete in his second Olympic Games following his debut in 2020 where
he contributed 11.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 3.8 apg in 25.7 mpg and shot 48.3% from the field
immediately following the NBA Finals. Holiday competed in the 2008 Nike Hoop Summit (98-
78 win over the World) and attended various junior national team events from 2007-13.
LEBRON JAMES
James, who has scored 273 points (3rd among all Americans) in the Olympics, will
compete in his fourth Games and first since 2012. He won gold in 2008 and 2012 and
made his Olympics debut in 2004 (bronze). James also owns a 2007 FIBA Tournament of
the Americas gold medal. The 2012 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year will become
one of three American men (Anthony, Durant) to appear in four Olympics when he takes
the floor this summer.
KAWHI LEONARD
Though he has been a member of the USA Basketball family since 2012, Leonard will make
his USA national team debut this summer. He was a member of two USA Select Teams in
2012 and 2014 and played for USA White in the 2015 USA Basketball Showcase.
JAYSON TATUM
Tatum is one of five players who will compete in a second consecutive Olympic Games. In
Tokyo, he played six games and averaged 20.5 mpg, 15.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.2 apg and 1.2 bpg
while shooting 49.3% from the field and 44.7% from 3-point (17-38 3FG). He also owns gold
medals at the 2013 FIBA U16 Americas Championship, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship
and 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship.
