navigate and manipulate your drawing efficiently.
- Also, these tools include Zoom, Pan, and Orbit, which allow you move
the view, and rotate the drawing, respectively.

User Coordinate System (UCS)

- In the lower-left corner of the drawing area, you see an L-shaped line.
- This is the User Coordinate System (UCS) icon
- That tells you your orientation in the drawing.
- becomes helpful as you start to work with complex 2D drawings and
3D models.
- The X and Y indicate the x and y-axes of your drawing.

The AutoCAD crosshairs

- are the primary cursor used to draw with the software.

Model Space and Layout

- AutoCAD uses a two-dimensional (2D) drawing environment called
Model Space.
- This is where you create and edit your drawing.
- layouts are used to present your drawing in a printable format, such
as paper or PDF.
- They allow you to define multiple views of your drawing on separate
sheets.

The Command Line

- is a text-based interface located at the bottom of the AutoCAD
window.
- allows users to enter commands, options, and coordinates manually.
- displays important messages and prompts for user input.

The Status Bar

- is located at the bottom of the AutoCAD window and provides
information about the current status of the software.
- It displays important details such as the current drawing units, snap
mode, and ortho mode.
- contains several toggles for frequently used features like Grid and
Object Snap.

The drawing area

- covers the major portion of the screen.
- In this area, you can draw the objects and use the commands.
- To draw the objects, you need to detine the coordinate points, which
can be selected by using your pointing device.
