LOGBOOK
Chapter-1
INTRODUCTION
On the Job Training (OJT) is a practical approach to acquiring new competencies and skills
needed for a job in a real or close to real working environment. It is often used to learn how
to use particular tools or equipment in a live-work practice, simulated, or training
environment. On- the-job training allows employees to gain experience working in
situations very similar to those they will encounter on a daily basis. Employees will use the
same tools and equipment they need for their job while being guided by an experience
trainer.
It is the responsibility of the supervisors and managers to utilize available resources to train,
qualify, and develop their employees. On-the-job (OJT) is one of the best training methods
because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee's worksite. OJT will
generally be the primary method use for broadening employee skills and increasing
productivity. It is particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an
employee's job-especially jobs that are relatively easy to develop, learn and require locally-
owned equipment and facilities. To have a successful practicum program, supervisors need
to assign a coach to each employee involved in OJT practicum. It is the responsibility of
the coach to plan training carefully and conduct it effectively. The OJT Trainee must be able
to cope much with the tasks given to him/her. The OJT coach must in turn observe the
trainee as he/she is working on that given task

INTRODUCTION TO HARDWARE
Hardware refers to the physical components of a computer system that you can touch and
see. These components work together to process and store data. The main hardware
components include:
1. Central Processing Unit (CPU): Often referred to as the brain of the computer, the CPU
performs most of the processing tasks.
2. Memory (RAM): Random Access Memory is used for temporarily storing data that the
CPU needs quick access to while the computer is running.
3. Storage Devices: This includes hard drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs), which
store data permanently. SSDs are faster but more expensive than HDDs.
4. Motherboard: The main circuit board that connects and allows communication between
various hardware components, including the CPU, memory, and peripherals.
5. Power Supply Unit (PSU): Converts electrical power from an outlet into a usable form
for the computer components.
6. Graphics Processing Unit (GPU): Responsible for rendering graphics and is crucial for
tasks like gaming and graphic design.
7. Peripheral Devices: Input devices like keyboards and mice, as well as output devices like
monitors and printers.
9. Cooling Systems: Fans and heat sinks are used to dissipate heat generated by the CPU
and other components to prevent overheating
.
10. BIOS/UEFI: Basic Input/Output System or Unified Extensible Firmware Interface is
firmware that initializes the hardware components during the boot process.

CONCLUSION
Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool. This on-the Job Training served as
my stepping stone to pursue my dream. This training gave me an inspiration to be more
serious and focused in studying. I was encouraged to do more efforts in my studies. Since I
was given some ideas about the work of a technician in the company where I conducted my
training. I am inspired to be like them someday. It was a great opportunity for me to work
on this company and acquire a wider view on the reality.
Despite the short period of my training, it was still a very meaningful one. The training
enriched my confidence created a foundation of being a good employee someday. I learned
to be diplomatic in both action and words. This training made me realize that it is really
good to know what you're doing, and to love it. As a student, what I can do for now is to
learn whatever I can in school, be inspired, love the path I am taking, and do my best in
everything I do, with a positive outlook in mind. I realized that I should be more focused in
school and do everything heartily and with all that I can.
It is also very warm to the heart to know that you have accomplished something and even
warmer when there are people who are so proud of what you have done and I felt this feeling
during my On-the-Job Training. It inspired me to be more determined and competitive in
everything that I do in my daily life as a student today and as a professional someday. My
On- the-Job Training is very helpful and will be very helpful to in my upcoming days. It
really gave me a taste of the real world - a glimpse of what lies ahead after I graduate.
