We have received advice from the Uniform Code Council Inc, Dayton Ohio, regarding the UPC
Manufacturer ID Number. Your UCC Company Prefix for Wet & Forget Ltd is:

87928800
The Uniform Code Council has pleasure in officially welcoming your Company as a participant in the
Universal Product Code (UPC) Program, and in allocating this number to you.

Because this letter documents your company’s membership in the UCC, it should be preserved and
made a matter of permanent record. The UPC number system character and manufacturer identification
number is for the sole use of the applicant and is a restricted asset of the member to whom it is assigned.
Any other use of the number is prohibited, including but not limited to, renting, leasing, or subdividing
all or a portion of the UPC number.

Now that you have received your unique 8-digit company number, your next step is to assign a 3-digit
item number to each different product in your line. These numbers can be assigned in any manner you
choose; however, the number must be 3 digits and each item must carry a different 3-digit item number.
This item number, used in conjunction with your first 8 digits assigned by the Code Council, will yield
your 11-digit UPC code.

The check digit is calculated in the same way as the EAN system and becomes the 12th digit in the
symbol. All 12 digits must also be printed in human readable form.
