The IBPS RRB Exam Pattern for the PO, Clerk, Officer Grade-II & III post has been discussed
here.

1. For IBPS RRB Clerk, there will be two stages of the Exam- Prelims & Mains
2. For IBPS PO or Officer Scale I, there will be three stages of the Exam- Prelims, Mains &
Interview
3. For IBPS Officer Grade II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there
will be a single-window exam- IBPS Officer Grade II Exam & Interview
4. For all the posts of IBPS RRB, the candidates have to pass each stage of the Exam for
their successful selection.

IBPS RRB Assistant Prelims Exam: Pattern

A composite time of 45 minutes is provided to candidates to complete two sections


namely Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Candidates must clear the cut-off of each
section. The cut-off for each section is decided by the team of IBPS depending on the
level of difficulty of the paper

IBPS RRB Assistant Mains Exam Pattern


A composite time of 2 hours is provided to candidates to complete five sections namely
Reasoning and Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and
Computer Knowledge IBPS RRB Assistant Mains Exam. There will be a penalty of 0.25
marks for every incorrect answer.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Exam is conducted in 3 different phases:


1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam
3. Interview Process

The preliminary Exam is for only Scale I but the Mains Exam is for all Officer level posts, it
differs a bit in terms of professional knowledge required to qualify at this stage. The exact
IBPS RRB Officer Grade Exam Pattern has been released with IBPS RRB Notification.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims Exam Pattern

A composite time of 45 minutes is provided to candidates to complete two sections


namely Reasoning and Numerical Ability for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims Exam.
Candidates must clear the cut-off of each section. The cut-off for each section is

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II Exam Pattern

There will be a single-level exam for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II Post. Selection will be made.
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online
Single examination to be considered to be shortlisted for an interview.

Depending on the number of vacancies available, the adequate number of candidates


in each category not exceeding three times the declared vacancies shall be called for
interview, subject to availability. Before the completion of the interview process, scores
obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates
shortlisted for the interview.

IBPS RRB Syllabus Interview Process

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for the post of Officers
Scale I, II & III will be subsequently called for an interview coordinated by the Nodal
Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD. The interview will be conducted in select
centers. The address of the centers will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the
call letter.

The marks for the interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview for
Officers Scale, I, II, and III will be as per extant guidelines. Only by qualifying both in the
Online Examination (Main/Single) and Common Interview with sufficiently high marks
will candidates be shortlisted for the subsequent provisional allotment process, the
details of which will be made available on the official IBPS website.
