Removal
1. Deactivate the high voltage system. Refer
to Deactivate/Activate - High Voltage
Battery System.
WARNING: High-voltage cables and
components may remain energized for up
to 5 minutes after isolating.
2. Raise and support vehicle on a 2 post lift.

Installation

to prevent further oil escaping.

CAUTION: Install cap to electric drive unit
to prevent further oil escaping.
Installation
1. Installation is the reverse of the removal
procedure except for the following:
2. Replace all discarded bolts.
3. Renew discarded snap ring.
4. Apply lithium based grease (Divinol Fett
LC2 EP 200 or equivalent) to inboard RH
halfshaft splines before installation.
NOTE: Applying grease will keep snap
ring in place and aide installation of
halfshaft to electric drive unit.
5. Check and top up oil if necessary. Refer to
Oil Level Check & Top Up - EDU - Rear.
