Ref: Legal Notice For Maintenance of Wife and Child.

Sir,

Under the instructions and authority of my client, Mrs. Rachana Devi, residing at B-124 Shree Nivas Nagar,
VKIA, Road No. – 6, Jaipur. I hereby serve you this legal notice for maintenance. My client is constrained
to approach you for maintenance as she and her child, Rajveer Kumar, are not receiving adequate financial
support despite her repeated requests.

1. That you were married with my client on 11.07.2011 according to Hindu rites and Customs in the
presence of friends, relatives and family members of both the parties as per Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
From this union, a child, Rajveer Kumar, 13 years, was born, establishing your responsibilities towards
both your spouse and child.
2. My client states that, as of July 2023, you have failed to fulfil your financial obligations and have
abandoned her and your child without reasonable cause, without her consent, and also against her wish,
resulting in severe hardship for both her and the child. Despite her efforts to resolve the matter amicably,
no support has been forthcoming.
3. Under Section 18 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and Section 125 of CrPC, 1973, as well as under
applicable family law principles, you are legally obligated to provide maintenance to your wife and
minor child to ensure their sustenance and well-being.
4. In light of the above, my client demands that you begin regular maintenance payments for her and the
child without further delay. The requested monthly amount is Rs. 35,000/- which is reasonable and
necessary to cover essential expenses, including but not limited to housing, food, medical needs, and
education for the child.

5. Kindly be advised that if you fail to comply within 30 days of receiving this notice, my client will be
compelled to initiate legal proceedings against you in a competent court of law, seeking maintenance,
along with appropriate compensation for emotional and financial distress.

This notice serves as a final opportunity to resolve the matter amicably. I urge you to consider the welfare of
your spouse and child and fulfill your legal and moral duties toward them.
