2.VERBS OF LIKING + V_ING / TO V:
-Khi muốn dùng một động từ chỉ một hàng động khác ở sau động từ chỉ sự thích, ta
phải sử dụng danh động từ (V_ing) hoặc động từ nguyên thể co “to” (toV)
1.Verbs + V-ing/ to V( like , love , start, begin …)
Những động từ đi với cả danh động từ và động từ nguyên thể có “to” mà không đổi về
nghĩa

I. Comparative forms of adverbs
1. Cấu trúc câu so sánh hơn:
Đối với trạng từ ngắn Đối với trạng từ dài
S1 + V+ adj +er + than + S2
Với trạng từ ngắn, thêm đuôi “er” vào Với tính từ dài, thêm đuôi “more” vào
sau trạng từ trước trạng từ
Ví dụ: Ví dụ:

2. Cách sử dụng trạng từ trong câu so sánh hơn:
a.Cách thêm đuôi –er vào trạng từ ngắn
trạng từ kết thúc bởi 1 phụ âm thêm đuôi –er Old-older, near-nearer
trạng từ kết thúc bởi 1 nguyên âm “e” thêm Late later
đuôi –r
trạng từ dài có 2 âm tiết trở lên thì thêm Slowly  more slowly…

SIMPLE SENTENCES & COMPOUND SENTENCES

a, Một câu đơn gồm một mệnh đề độc lập.

Ex: Minh has some problems with his schoolwork.

b, Một câu ghép bao gồm hai hay nhiều mệnh đề độc lập, và chúng được liên kết bởi:
+ từ nối: for (vì), and (và), but (nhưng), or (hoặc), so (vì vậy)

Ex: Mai bought many books, for she likes reading.

+ một trạng từ liên kết: however (tuy nhiên), therefore (vì vậy), otherwise (ngược lại)

Ex: Mark is hard-working; therefore, he usually gets high scores on exams.

Unusual sports

Buzkashi in Afghanistan is another version of horse riding. The players on horseback
try to hold a dead goat. The Afghan Buzkashi Federation hopes to get Olympic status
for the sport, so they have written down the rules of how to play it. Kabaddi is popular
in India and other parts of South Asia. One person is “it” and has to catch the others.
In kabaddi, a “raider” from one team tries to tag a player from the other team and then
