(b) Compound R has a general formula of C6H14O, when compound R is treated with conc. Sulphuric acid

6. (a) Calculate the number of ions in each of the following

(b) If 500g of table salt (sodium chloride) costs Tsh.1000 what will be the cost of one mole of this salt?
(c) Hydrated oxalic acid (H2C2O4∙XH20) was made by dissolving 20.16g of the acid to make one litre of
solution. The solution was then titrated against 0.400M sodium hydroxide solution. The pipette and average
titre volume were 20 cm3 and 25.17 cm3 respectively. Calculate the number of molecules of water of
crystallization in the acid.

gas is very cheap and easily to obtain.
