PRESENTER 1 : (ARBIS)
On October 7, tensions escalated when Palestinians from Gaza attacked Israel, leading to over 1,200
Israeli deaths and around 240 hostages taken. In response, Israel launched extensive airstrikes on Gaza,
resulting in more than 42,000 Palestinian deaths since then. The blockade on Gaza has made it difficult to
access food, water, and medical supplies, creating a severe humanitarian crisis.
In the West Bank, violence against Palestinians has also increased, with at least 756 killed due to attacks
by Israeli settlers and military operations. The American Friends Service Committee, or AFSC, mourns all
victims and calls for the peaceful release of hostages, stressing its commitment to non-violence and
lasting peace.
It's important to understand that this violence has deep roots. The conflict didn't begin with the recent
attacks; 2023 has already been one of the most violent years for Palestinians. The blockade has
restricted life in Gaza for 16 years, and while international law allows for resistance to occupation, it also
prohibits harm to civilians.
The U.S. plays a complex role, providing significant military aid to Israel despite ongoing human rights
concerns.
As the crisis continues, you can help. Consider donating to humanitarian efforts in Gaza or joining
campaigns aimed at ending the systems that contribute to violence. For more information on how to get
involved, visit AFSC’s website. Together, we can work towards a just and peaceful future.

PRESENTER 2 : (SUAREZ)
Angat Buhay Foundation, a non-profit organization under the leadership of Former Vice President Leni
Robredo, has recorded over 50,000 assisted Filipinos who were affected by severe tropical storm
"Kristine."
Angat Buhay Foundation Inc. Executive Director Raphael Magno said they are partnering with various
networks nationwide, especially in Southern Luzon, to bring relief efforts to storm victims. He explained
that the organization has long been doing this initiative in times of calamities.
"We work with our volunteer partners — so it's called Angat Bayanihan Volunteer network — where we
partner with local civil society organizations every time may panahon ng sakuna. Ina-activate namin sila.
We give support, we amplify their calls for help, and augment their supplies so they can address the
needs of their constituents as well," Magno told ANC's "Dateline Philippines".
"Aside from Naga City, we're also present in different parts of the Philippines. The other day, we're able to
provide hot meals and relief assistance in Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, Albay, some parts of Camarines
Sur, even in Quezon, and Metro Manila," he added.
As of now, Magno said they are still collating data from their partner organizations and other volunteer
groups to know how many Filipinos were and are being assisted by the foundation.
Netizens and celebrities have showered Robredo and the foundation with praises, especially after photos
showing the former vice president braving the flood to help storm victims circulate online. Magno
described Robredo's actions as a "usual" characteristic of the leader, saying she is always active in
everything she does to help others.
Magno added that the "Museo ng Pag-asa" is open 24 hours every day to those who would like to
volunteer or give donations.
truly a good leader shows up in difficult times, just like how Former Vice President Robredo responded
with the help of our volunteer in Angat buhay.

PRESENTER 3: (GATCHE)
After a strong typhoon, surely the mosquitoes have more places to live because of the water
accumulated in some areas where they can also lay eggs.
The 4S campaign stands for “Search and Destroy” mosquito breeding places, “Secure Self
Protection” from mosquito bites, “Seek Early Consultation” when signs and symptoms of dengue
occur, and “Say Yes to Fogging” as a last resort when there is an impending outbreak.

NEWS REPORT:
PRESENTER 4: (IGNACIO)
GOODMORNING EVERYONE.
FORMER senator Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday slammed former president Rodrigo Duterte's demeanor
and "invasion" of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee investigation on his alleged bloody war on drugs.
The come-backing senator, in a statement, criticized what he perceived was a "disrespectful takeover" of
the Senate public hearing on the Duterte administration's controversial war on drugs. He condemned
Duterte's demeanor during the drug war probe on Monday conducted by the Senate blue ribbon
subcommittee led by Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III..
Hontiveros repeatedly admonished Duterte for blurting out profanities during the Senate inquiry. Duterte
peppered his testimony with expletives when he defended his iron hand policy against drug suspects and
erring policemen.
Hontiveros asked Pimentel to admonish "the resource person" (Duterte) to stop using foul language while
testifying under oath "because the Senate is our home."
Hontiveros, on Tuesday, said Duterte should first face the law of man before facing the punishment "from
hell" for implementing his bloody war on drugs.
"He took full responsibility anyway for the bloody war on drugs that resulted in the death of thousands of
Filipinos," Hontiveros said.
"Only those with hardened hearts could execute extrajudicial killings--from the one who ordered them up
to those who pulled the trigger, and to those who hid the evidence," she said.
"It's sad that the one who is supposed to be a lawyer could not understand this," Hontiveros added
She hopes the Department of Justice as well as investigators of the International Criminal Court are
seriously reviewing the many admissions and confessions made under oath by Duterte. This included his
creation of a death squad in Davao City, his attempt as president to convince police officials to kill certain
individuals, and his order to police officers to "encourage" suspects to fight back so they could be
summarily executed.
Hontiveros said that the Filipino people will "never" take pride in the war on drugs, adding that the stories
of its victims deserve to be heard and should motivate lawmakers to take action.
"For those who said that the war on drugs is a punishment for those who went astray, my message to you
is this: There is no honor in punishment like 'tokhang.' It should not be an honor to be called 'The
Punisher,' when thousands of innocent people, including babies, have died in your name," she said.
