INSPECTION & CLEANING
1. Ask the customer if they have experienced any performance issues.
2. Inspect the entire exterior of the system, peripherals, and power cord for any
physical damage evidence of abuse or moisture, or any other condition requiring
service intervention. This should include, but not be limited to, checking for
evidence that improper cleaning solutions have been used on the system plastic
parts or the control panel.
3. Physically inspect transducer cables, connectors, and lens for external damage.
On TEE transducers also check for bite marks and the TEE controls for proper
operation.
4. Inspect and clean the trackball.
5. Inspect and clean the monitor
6. Inspect and clean the control panels & keyboard
7. Inspect footswitch, keypad, and remote control pad (if installed).
8. Inspect casters and ensure smooth operation. Ensure brakes work correctly.
9. Clean all of the system filters and check fans for proper operation.
10. Check the articulation and movement of any user interface assembly (monitor,
keyboard, control panel, etc.)

PERFORMANCE
1. Execute the full set of system diagnostics and confirm they passed.
2. Check, download, and clear logs.
3. Reset Patient Database (perform only if the customer has backed up the data).
4. Perform hard-disk maintenance procedures appropriate for this system (as needed).
5. Check for current back-up of system settings and configurations.
6. Check that all of the user controls and lights are operational.
7. Check the ECG cable and trace on the screen.
8. Check operation of major system applications: 2D, 3D/4D, M-Mode, Doppler, Color and CPA.
9. Verify Connectivity.
10. Run the Transducer Test on systems where supported. Export the transducer test log.

1. Test printers (if installed) for proper operation & clean if necessary.
2. Test VCR (if installed) for proper operation & clean if necessary.
3. Check digital recording devices (if installed) for proper operation.
