 Getting started

Do not EVER use two instances of the robot, or any combination of robots with
identical magic numbers on the same account!

Before installing Intelly Trader EA on your computer and commencing trading

on a real account, please read this carefully: it may be crucial for your future
profits.
Trading forex entails risk and each instance of negligence or inattention may
lead to significant loss!
1. We strongly recommend that you operate a demo account before trading
with real money. This will help you become familiar with the way Intelly Trader
EA operates before you commit genuine funds to a real money account.
2. Please be exceptionally careful when determining trading volumes and
setting automatic risk management parameters!
3. If you suspect that Intelly Trader EA might be operating incorrectly, please
halt operations and contact us immediately!

 What you should know before using
Intelly Trader EA

Introducing Intelly Trader EA – the ultimate solution for trend detection and

With Intelly Trader EA, you’re not just getting a trading bot – you’re getting a

▪ Supported currency pairs: CADJPY, EURJPY, NZDJPY, USDJPY, AUDJPY,
GBPJPY, GBPUSD and EURUSD
▪ The default settings are for EURJPY. There are .set files for the rest of the
supported pairs. These .set files are included in the automatic installer
and will be installed in your MT4/MT5 terminal automatically. Please
read the page “How to load .set files” from the user guide to find how to
load the set files correctly.
▪ It is recommended to start trading with min allowed risk – 0.01 lot.
▪ If you use multiple currency pairs, you should consider decreasing the
risk accordingly.
▪ Recommended time frame is M15. Recommended backtests method:
M15 by every tick.
▪ You can backtests and optimize the EA on M1 chart by “open price only”
method – this will be correct enough and you will save a lot of time.
▪ Intelly Trader EA is compatible with the MetaTrader 4/MetaTrader 5
trading platforms/terminals! The MetaTrader 4 and 5 versions are
available in the installation package.

▪ Intelly Trader EA is compatible with all brokers, as well as with brokers
using ECN-type order fulfilment.
▪ Intelly Trader EA automatically recognizes whether your broker offers
four or five-digit quotes. You do not need to change any settings. You do
not need to multiply Take Profit and Stop Loss values by 10 if your broker
offers five-digit quotes.
▪ We do not recommend that you launch and close your trading terminal
too often. Ideally, it should work without interruption from market
opening on Monday to closure on Friday.
▪ For problem-free operation, use a computer with a minimum
configuration: 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, and Windows XP, Windows
Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 or Windows Server operating system.
▪ Maintaining a stable internet connection is of the essence to ensure
reliable Intelly Trader EA operation.

The MetaTrader4 (MT4) trading platform

Intelly Trader EA operates within the MetaTrader4 trading platform. MT4 is a

free trading platform available through most forex brokers.
If you do not have MT4 installed on your computer, you can download a copy
by going to our recommended forex broker:

Our forex robot – Intelly Trader EA – is compatible any forex broker and you are
not obligated to open account exactly in our recommended broker. This is
personal decision and choice!

We cannot stress enough, how important is to choose a decent, reputable

FOREX broker with competitive spreads and good trading conditions. If you
are new to FOREX trading, make sure that you spend enough time in your
own research for that matter, before investing any real money in any FOREX
broker!

 Installing MetaTrader 4
If you’re familiar with MT4 and already have a broker account, just take a quick
look through this section to refresh your memory.

After installation, you’ll be asked to create a trading account. The program will
ask you to select a trade server to connect to. Select the server you want and
click Next. In our example we select Alpari-ECN-Demo server. Other brokers
may have different trading servers with different names.

Once again, it is good to mention that you can use the installer of your chosen
broker, so this does not require you to install exactly our example broker.

The program will ask you to choose the type of your account. In our example
we choose to open a demo account. Click Next to continue with opening an
account. Fill the form with your personal details and select an amount to
deposit. Check "Agree to subscribe to your newsletters" and then click Next. In
the next window, click Finish.

Your demo account is now open. Close the MT4 terminal so that you can install
Intelly Trader EA.

If you prefer to use Intelly Trader EA on a MT5 terminal the installation

instructions are similar. If you meet any problems, you can contact us and we
will help you.

 Installing Intelly Trader EA

There are two ways to install Intelly Trader EA: automatic and manual.

Automatic installation of Intelly Trader EA using installer

Follow the below instructions and images for automatic installation of Intelly
Trader EA:
After logging in to the member area go to My Products page to download the
installer of Intelly Trader EA. Download the installer in a convenient location on
your computer.

Double click over the installer to start installation of Intelly Trader EA. During
installation, select the installation folder of your MetaTrader4 terminal. This
folder usually has the name of your broker and is located in C:\Program Files
(x86)

The Installer will automatically detect all MT4/MT5 installations on your
computer. You only need to select the MT4/MT5 installation where you want
to install Intelly Trader EA. You can select multiple MT4/MT5 installations.

If you did not close your MT4/MT5 terminal before installing Intelly Trader EA,
you will need to restart it now.
After successful installation you will find Intelly Trader EA on your Expert
Advisors List in the Navigator window.

Manual installation of Intelly Trader EA

In order to install Intelly Trader EA manually on the MT4/MT5, you have to
download an archive which contains all the components of the robot. You can
download this archive from My Products page. Please check below image:

Download the archive in a convenient location on your computer and then
extract its content. After that you can start manual installation of all the
component. Here are the steps:
1. Identify your "Application Data" folder.
First you need to locate your Application Data folder of the MT4/MT5. To do
this, go to the File menu in the MT4/MT5 platform and click on "Open Data
Folder" (check out the image below).

 2. Place your robot files in the right location.
First thing to do is to open the MQL4 folder (MQL5 for MT5), which is in the
“Application Data” folder (which you already see). The next steps are very easy:
▪ Place your “IntellyTraderEA_v1.0.ex4” file in the “Experts” folder inside
the “MQL4” folder. For MT5 terminal place “IntellyTraderEA_v1.0.ex5”
file in the “Experts/Advisors” folder inside of “MQL5” folder.
▪ Place all “.set” files in the “Presets” folder inside the “MQL4” folder
(“MQL5” for MT5).

3. Run Intelly Trader EA.

After you have successfully placed the files in the correct folders, all you need
to do is to restart your MT4/MT5. If you have done everything correctly, the
Intelly Trader EA should appear in the “Navigator” Tab of your MT4/MT5.

 Activating Intelly Trader EA

To activate your copy of Intelly Trader EA for your demo and real accounts, log
in to our member area and then find the account activation page. Type your
account number into the input field, select the type of your account (demo or
real), select Intelly Trader EA from the list of products you own and click
Activate. Repeat this procedure for each account.
Your Intelly Trader EA licence is not tied to one computer/VPS or broker. You
are free to trade using your accounts on any computer at home, in the office,
or VPS. You can deactivate (remove/delete) currently activated account
numbers and activate new accounts.
You should activate your demo or real account/s even if you only wish to
backtest Intelly Trader EA.

If you face any problems with the activation of your account numbers or you get
any error messages after attaching the robot on the charts don’t hesitate to
contact us. We will help you to solve the problem!

 Starting and configuring Intelly Trader EA

After installing and activating Intelly Trader EA, launch your MT4 trading
terminal and click Tools->Options.

To ensure that Intelly Trader EA will operate correctly, make sure that you have
checked and unchecked all the boxes exactly as shown below.

 IMPORTANT: Configure MT4/MT5 terminal to allow WEB Requests to the following url:
http://www.fxautomater.com Only this way Intelly Trader EA can connect to our server
and verify your license!

Next, open the charts for the currency pairs you wish to trade. Switch to M15
time frame.

You are now ready to attach Intelly Trader EA on the chart. In the Navigator
window, double click Expert Advisors to expand it and see all the Expert
Advisors including Intelly Trader EA. Right click with your mouse over Intelly
Trader EA and select Attach to a Chart, or simply drag and drop it onto the
chart.

After placing Intelly Trader EA on the chart, you should see a smiley face in the
upper right hand corner of your chart. This indicates that the robot is running.
If you don’t see a smiley face, click Properties on the menu bar and make
certain that the Allow Live Trading box is checked. If it is checked and you still
don’t see a smiley face, go to Tools on the menu bar and select Options. A
popup will appear. Select the Expert Advisors tab and check the Enable Expert
Advisors box.
You can enable or disable Intelly Trader EA from the Auto Trading button at any
time.

 Settings

==== Risk Management Settings ====

▪ FixedLots: fixed trading volume (works if AutoMM1=0).
▪ AutoMM: values greater than 0 (zero) activate automatic ММ (traded
volume as a percentage of free margin).

==== General Settings ====

▪ LongTrades: true/false to enable/disable the BUY(long) trades.
▪ ShortTrades: true/false to enable/disable the SELL(short) trades.
▪ Magic1: magic number 1 - it is extremely important to keep this different
for all robots.
▪ EA_Comment: text which will be added as a comment to each trade
opened by Intelly Trader EA.
▪ MaxSpread: maximal allowed spread for position opening.
▪ Slippage: maximal allowed slippage for position opening.
▪ TicksTrade: if false, the logic will be executed at the beginning of M1 bar,
otherwise it will calculate and trade on a new price tick.
▪ StopLoss: Stop Loss in pips
▪ TakeProfit: Take Profit in pips

==== RSI Settings ====

▪ SignalTF: The time frame of RSI indicator.
▪ SignalTop: Top border line of RSI.
▪ SignalBottom: Bottom border line of RSI.

==== Reverse Trade Settings ====

▪ ReverseTrade: When it is true, the robot will search for reverse trades, if
it is false - it will not.
▪ Magic2: magic number 2 - this number must be unique for each
robot/strategy.

 ▪ TakeProfitReverse: The take profit level of the reversed trade
▪ StopLossReverse: The stop loss level of the reversed trade
▪ ReverseRisk_K The reversed trade multiplier, it multiplies the initial trade
lots size

IMPORTANT: If Reverse Trade is disabled (ReverseTrade=false), the recovery

trade will not work either!!!

==== Recovery Trade Settings ====

▪ RecoveryTrade: When it is true, the robot will search for recovery trades,
if it is false - it will not.
▪ Magic3: magic number 3 - this number must be unique for each
robot/strategy
▪ TakeProfitRecovery: The take profit level of the reversed trade
▪ StopLossRecovery: The stop loss level of the reversed trade
▪ RecoveryRisk_K: The recovery trade multiplier, it multiplies the reversed
trade lots size.
==== Notifications Settings ====
▪ EMAIL_Notification: true/false - enable/disable email notifications
▪ PUSH_Notification: true/false – enable/disable push notifications to
mobile phones.

 ==== Time Management Settings ====
These settings have been specially developed to help traders avoid certain hour
periods during the trading week when the Forex market behaves more
unpredictable.
▪ AllowedHour_ForBacktest: this parameter is only for backtesting! It
helps optimizing the Time Management system. Here is how you can use
it. During the optimization set start value 0, end value 23 and the step 1.
You can optimize only one day per optimization. For example you want
to optimize the forbidden hours for Monday, you have to disable other
days bay settings TuesdayTrading=false ... to ... FridayTrading=false. At
the end of the optimization the tester will show you the best hours for
trading on Monday. You can add the bad hours in the parameter
MondayForbiddenHours separated by comma, for example: 1,4,6.
▪ MondayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading on Monday
▪ MondayHoursForbidden: forbidden trading hours for Monday (applies
only when MondayTrading is enabled). You can set several values
between 0 and 23 separated with commas. For example, if you set
MondayHoursForbidden=9,10,11 the EA will not trade from 9:00 till
11:59. The hour values for this parameter are related to your broker’s
server time (the Market Watch)!
▪ TuesdayTrading: enable or disable trading on Tuesday
▪ TuesdayHoursForbidden: forbidden trading hours for Tuesday (applies
only when TuesdayTrading is enabled). You can set several values
between 0 and 23 separated with commas. For example, if you set
TuesdayHoursForbidden=9,10,11 the EA will not trade from 9:00 till
11:59. The hour values for this parameter are related to your broker’s
server time (the Market Watch)!
▪ WednesdayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading on Wednesday
▪ WednesdayHoursForbidden: forbidden trading hours for Wednesday
(applies only when WednesdayTrading is enabled). You can set several
values between 0 and 23 separated with commas. For example, if you set
WednesdayHoursForbidden=9,10,11 the EA will not trade from 9:00 till
11:59. The hour values for this parameter are related to your broker’s
server time (the Market Watch)!
▪ ThursdayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading on Thursday

only when ThursdayTrading is enabled). You can set several values
between 0 and 23 separated with commas. For example, if you set
ThursdayHoursForbidden=9,10,11 the EA will not trade from 9:00 till
11:59. The hour values for this parameter are related to your broker’s
server time (the Market Watch)!
▪ FridayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading on Friday
▪ FridayHoursForbidden: forbidden trading hours for Friday (applies only
when FridayTrading is enabled). You can set several values between 0
and 23 separated with commas. For example, if you set
FridayHoursForbidden=9,10,11 the EA will not trade from 9:00 till 11:59.
The hour values for this parameter are related to your broker’s server
time (the Market Watch)!
▪ SaturdayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading during Saturday
and Sunday respectively. Due to big GMT offset, some brokers trade
during weekends and for that reason we added these parameters as well
▪ SundayTrading: true/false - enable or disable trading during Saturday
and Sunday respectively. Due to big GMT offset, some brokers trade
during weekends and for that reason we added these parameters as well
Example: MondayHoursForbidden = "9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16";
==== Friday Exit ====
▪ FridayExit: true/false - if you wish to close all trades on Friday, you
should use FridayExit=true.
▪ ExitHour: the robot will close all open positions at this hour on Friday.
▪ LastTradeHour: the robot can trade until the end of this hour on Friday
(including this hour).

 How to load .set files

The default settings of Intelly Trader EA are optimized for EURJPY currency pair.
There are .set files for the rest of the supported pairs which are AUDJPY,
CADJPY, GBPJPY, NZDJPY, USDJPY, EURUSD, and GBPUSD. These .set files will
be automatically installed in your MT4/MT5 terminal if you use automatic
installation of Intelly Trader EA. If you want to load one of these .set files you
only need to load correct .set file when you attach the robot to every chart.
1. Attach Intelly Trader EA to a chart
2. A window will appear. Switch to Inputs tab.

3. Click the button Load. The Presets folder of your terminal will be
opened

4. Choose the correct .set file and click Open. The .set files of Intelly
Trader EA begins with “intea-” followed by the symbol name. The .set
file will be loaded and some of the settings will be changed.
Click the button OK to finish attaching the robot to the chart.

 How to back-test Intelly Trader EA

If you wish to back-test Intelly Trader EA, first you should download history
from the MetaTrader history center: click Tools -> History Center, or press the
"F2" key of the keyboard. In the list, find the currency pair that you wish to
back-test and double click to expand it. Click "1 Minute (M1)" and then click
"Download". When the download process is finished, double click on "5
Minutes (M5)” and "15 Minutes (M15)" to convert the M1 data (repeat this for
the rest of the time frames). Close the "History Center" window. Restart the
MT4 terminal in any case. Check the below image!

To open the "Strategy Tester" window click the "Strategy Tester" button of the
MetaTrader menu, or press "Ctrl+R" on the keyboard. In the "Strategy Tester"
window chose Intelly Trader EA, chose one of the supported currency pairs,
chose M15 timeframe, chose the method "Every tick ...", as shown below. Click
"Start" to start the back-test.

The back-test by "Every tick" is the most precise, but it is very slow. If you wish
to save time you can run the back-test on M1 timeframe by "Open price only
..." method and this will be correct too.
