Drill/Review: Mix and Match


Play a game on renaming fractions to decimals and vice
versa. The teacher provides a card and put it under the
pupil’s chair. The pupil that can get the card will go
around the class. At the signal “go-mix-and match”, each
pupil will go around to find the number phrase, fraction,
or decimal number that matches with what he/she is
holding. The first group of four pupils to complete the set
correctly, wins.
Complete set of different cards bearing number phrases,
fractions and decimals.

Values Integration:

Present the lesson through a word problem.

Ryan celebrated his 9th birthday. He invited his 144


schoolmates. If he was able to print 9 invitation cards
per hour, how many hours did he spend printing the
invitation card?

Power Teaching:
is a method of distributing a group of things into equal parts. It
is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic, which gives a
fair result of sharing.
