ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN THE RECENTLY CONCLUDED


DISTRICT KASAYSAYAN QUIZ 2024

In line with Division Memorandum no. 651, s. 2024 entitled School- Year 2024-2025 Division
Festival of Talents (DFOT), the District of Laguindingan conducted a District Festival of Talents on
November 11, 2024 with the theme: “Talento at Husay ng Bagong Henerasyon para sa Progresibong
Bayan. Among the activities conducted during the said event was the Kasaysayan Quiz for Araling
Panlipunan learning area.

Before the District Festival of Talents happened, Mr. Arnold E. Millanes, District Araling
Panlipunan Coordinator, together with the school coordinators conducted a meeting on October 23,
2024 at the District Modem Center for the planning of the upcoming event. He discussed that the
contest shall be based on concepts on Philippine Geography, History and Culture from Araling
Panlipunan Grades 4 to 6. He emphasized on the objectives, guidelines and mechanics of the
Kasaysayan Quiz. He also instructed on what to prepare and what to bring during the contest and
assigned members of the technical working group.

The Quiz happened on November 7, 2024 at Laguindingan Central School. An Opening


Program was held at the LCS covered court with the school principal, Mr. Alexander B. Oguis,
welcoming all the participants. Dr. Roie M. Ubayubay, our PSDS explained the statement and purpose
and gave his words of encouragement.

During the contest proper Mr. Arnold Millanes explained the contest guidelines to the
contestants. There were three categories: Easy which composed of eight questions with multiple
choices, Average- composed of seven questions with multiple choices, and five fill-in the blank
questions under the Difficult category. Contestants were given 10 seconds for each question in the
Easy category, 12 seconds for each Average question, and 15 for each of the Difficult questions.

The quiz was joined by 11 contestants each representing the 11 schools in the district of
Laguindingan. Among the 11 participants, Laguindingan Central School got the 1 st Place with a score of
25 points, followed by Lapad Elementary School, 2 nd Place with 17 points, and Junnifer Xian B. Diango
of Sambulawan Elementary School got 3rd Place with 15 points.
