HOW TO MEASURE?
BUST- Place one end of the tape
measure at the fullest part of your
bust, wrap it around (under your
armpits, around your shoulder blades,
and back to the front) to get the
measurement.

PRINTED LAYOUT
Lay out cut out pages as shown below for each paper size and tape them together. Then cut
desired pattern size. On the first page of each file, you’ll find a line guide along with an international
conversion chart.

FABRIC USAGE
This is a suggested layout plan to minimize fabric wastage. For the purpose of this mock- up, the
patterns cut on fold has been reflected to show the final full layout
Planning your layout takes only a few minutes and can help minimize the fabric waste and make your project, even more,

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
FLY GUARD First, we’ll start with the fly
guard, this piece should be
cut out on a fold from the
pattern piece.
Step 2
Fold the fly guard in half,
right side to right side.
Step 3
Sew the fly guard as close to
the edge as possible.
Step 4
Bag out the fly guard, use
scissors to make the corner
nice and even. Then press
the piece with an iron.

Step 5
Next, place the zip on the straight edge
of the fly guard. Make sure that zip and
edge are aligned together and that zip
starts 1cm below the top edge of the fly
guard.
Step 6
Sew the zip to the fly guard
using a zip foot.
Step 7
If you have an overlocker you can overlock the edge
with the curved edge of the fly facing.
Step 8
Place the fly guard on top of
the fly facing and align the
straight edge together.

Step 9
Then fold out the fly guard while
holding the zip in the position and
pin the right side of the zip to the fly
facing.
Step 10
Sew the right side of the zip to
the fly facing, using a zip foot.
Step 11
If you have an overlocker, overlock the
front rise of trouser panels.
Step 12
Moving on, prepare the left
front trouser panel and zip
facing.

Step 13
Align top edges together and pin only the
straight edge of the fly facing to the front
rise of the trousers.
Step 14
Sew the fly facing to the front rise using a zip
foot (you should try to follow a previous stitch
line for the best outcome. In the illustration you
can see stitch lines next to each other for a
clear illustration of this step).
Step 15
Once you flip over the zipper
this is how it should look like.
Step 16
Prepare left and right front
trouser panels.

Step 17
Place the left side of the trou-
sers on top of the right and pin
the zip facing to the front rise
of the right trouser panel.
Step 18
Then sew the zip facing using a
zip foot following the previous
stitch lines.
Step 19
Then, pin the rest of the front
rise below the zip facing and
sew them together.
Step 20
Turn the trousers to the
right side.

Step 21
Open the zip and topstitch
the right side of the zip for a
nice finish.
Step 22
If you are using a fabric with a structure you can
just press the right side of the trouser nicely.
Step 23
If you overlocked the edge of the
fly shield, skip to step number 25
Step 24
Fold the raw edge of the fly facing
inside by as little fabric as you can.

Topstitch the fly facing.
Step 26
Turn the trousers to the right side and make a
small back tack stitch at the bottom of the top-
stitch line to secure everything in place.
Step 27
Prepare two back trouser
panels.
Step 28
Place left panel on top of the
right and pin together back rise,
right side to the right side.

Sew back rise together.
Step 30
If you have an overlocker, overlock the back rise
seam allowance.

Prepare front and back
trouser pieces.

Place back panel over the
front and sew together
right side to right, sides and
inseam.

Create back darts 13 cm tall
using notches as a guide on
the back panels.
Step 35
Sew the back darts.

Then sew the seam again
0.5 cm away from the edge
to finish the french seam.
Step 37
Moving on to the waistband,
prepare waistband pieces
and interfacing.
Step 38
Place interfacing over the
wrong side of the fabric and
press it together using an
iron.
Step 39
Next, join three waistband
pieces on the sides.
Step 40
Place right and left waistband
pieces over the back panel and
pin them together on the sides.

Sew the sides together approximately
1cm away from the edge.
Step 42
Press all the seams open
using an iron.
Step 43
Moving on attach the
waistband to the trousers.
Step 44
With trousers on the right side pin waist-
band on the inside first. Leave out 1cm
at the start of the waistband.

Step 45
With extra fabric left at the
front of the trousers create
pleats 8cm away from the
side seams.
Step 46
Then pin the rest of the
waistband to the trousers.
Step 47
Sew the waistband to the
trousers.
Step 48
Pull out the waistband from
the inside of the trousers.

Step 49
Fold the waistband in half
and sew the shorter edges
of the waistband.
Step 50
Trim off the seam allowance.
Step 51
Bag out the corners of the
waistband. Use scissors to
make the corners nice and
pointy.
Step 52
Fold the waistband in half.

Topstitch the waistband as close
to the edge as possible.
Step 54
Create a buttonhole on the
trousers using a buttonhole
foot.
Step 55
You can sew the button to the front of the trou-
sers or sew it to the inside of the waistband for
that clean front look.
Step 56
Next, we’ll move on to the
hems of the trouser.

Step 57
Fold the trouser hems first by
1cm and then again by 2cm.
Step 58
To finish off the trousers
topstitch the hems.
