EXTERNAL FEATURES & DESCRIPTION OF INJURIES:


Dead body of a male, moderately built and nourished, measuring 169cm in length. Rigor mortis
developed in upper and lower limbs. Postmortem hypostasis on back is present and fixed. Dried blood stain
both nostrils’ noted. ECG lead pads insitu.

Clothes: Cloths are blood stained at places


1. Light gray coloured checks shirt
2. Chocolate coloured pant
3. Light blue coloured baniyan
4. Blue coloured underwer

Above clothes are packed and handed over to concerned police.

External Injuries:
1. Abrasion on right hand (upper part) measuring 11x3cm
2. Abrasion on right side chest measuring 5x5cm
3. Abrasion on middle of right thigh measuring 8x7cm
4. Abrasion on right knee measuring 2x1cm
5. Abrasion on lower right leg measuring 10x1cm
6. Abrasion on right leg adjacent to lateral malleolus measuring 2x2cm
7. Deformity of lower aspect of right leg is noted. On movement and paltion evidence of fractured of both
bones (lower 1/3rd of tibia & fibula) is noted.
8. Abrasion on left knee measuring 0.5x0.5cm
9. Laceration on left parieto temporal region of head measuring 0.5x0.5cmx muscle depth.
10. Deformed of left forearm is noted on palpation & movement evidence of fracture of radius and ulna is
noted.
11. Abrasion on left forearm measuring 4x4cm
12. Contusion of inner aspect of left arm measuring 1x1cm
13. Patterned Contused abrasion(arch shape) measuring 4x2cm, 8cm above left superior iliac crest.
14. Contusion of middle & lower of right thigh measuring 4x4cm and 3x3 respectively.
15. Contusion of right leg (upper part) measuring 4x4cm
16. Abrasion of left foot inner aspect measuring 4x1cm

THORAX:

Left side - Fracture of 3 to 11 ribs at mid clavicular region. Fractured ends Heart: Intact
are irregular and blood stained. surrounding intercostal are contused and
Fracture of 4 & 5th ribs at posterior angle.
Ribs –right side – Intact
Sternum – Fracture of manubrium noted.
Pleura & Cavity: 600ml fluid blood in pleural cavity. Coronaries: intact
Larynx & Trachea: Blood tinged frothy fluid and food particles is present. Large Vessels: intact
Lungs: Contusion laceration of upper lobes of both the lungs measuring
5x3cm(right) and 6x3cm(left).
Cut section-Congested and oozing of scanty frothy blood tinged fluid and
presence of food particles in the bronchioles noted.
ABDOMEN:
Walls: Intact Small intestines and large intestine: Diffuse contusion of
mesentery noted contains gas and their contents
Peritoneum cavity: 900ml of blood fluid is Liver: Contused laceration(transcapular) of right lobe of liver
noted. Cut section- Pale
Mouth, Pharynx and Esophagus: Food particles Spleen: intact
in esophagus is present cut section-congested
Stomach: Contains 200ml of food particles
is present. No peculiar odour. Mucosa is
congested.
GENITO URINARY SYSTEM:
Kidneys Bladder Organs of generation.
Contusion of both right & left kidney Bladder is Empty. Contusion of Intact
Cut section - Congested bladder & soft tissues muscles of
pubic and pelvis region is noted
NECK:
Neck Vertebral column & Spinal cord
Intact Fracture dislocation of T6&T7 vertebra noted with extravasation of blood in the
surrounding soft tissue is noted.
All the above mentioned injuries are antemortem nature
OPINION AS TO THE CAUSE OF DEATH:

I am of the opinion that is death is due to multiple injury sustained as a consequent upon blunt force
impact.
