Basic Guide to Using VirtualBox 7.
VirtualBox is a free, open-source virtualization tool that
allows you to create and manage virtual machines (VMs). With it, you can run operating systems like Windows, Linux, or macOS in a simulated environment on your computer. Here’s how to use it:
1. Download and Install VirtualBox
1. Visit the official VirtualBox website: virtualbox.org.
2. Download version 7.0 compatible with your operating
system (Windows, macOS, Linux).
3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions,
accepting permissions and installing the default components.
2. Create a Virtual Machine
1. Open VirtualBox and click "New".
2. Fill in the fields:
o Name: Give your virtual machine a name (e.g.,
"Ubuntu 22.04").
o Machine Folder: Choose where the VM files will be
stored.
o Type and Version: Select the operating system you
will install (e.g., Linux > Ubuntu 64-bit).
3. Click "Next".
3. Configure VM Resources
1. Memory (RAM): Allocate RAM for the VM. For example:
o Lightweight machines (Linux): 2 GB.
o Heavier machines (Windows): 4 GB or more.
o Note: Do not exceed 50% of your system’s RAM.
2. Hard Disk: o Choose "Create a virtual hard disk now".
o Select the format VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) and
type Dynamically allocated.
o Set the size (e.g., 20 GB for Linux or 50 GB for
