MUNICIPAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL – DIMASALANG

Meeting Minutes
March 24, 2024

Opening:
The regular meeting of the Municipal Youth Development Council – Dimasalang
was called to order at 2:08 PM in the (Mayor’s Office) by LYDO Designate,
Faustino U. Duray IV.

AGENDA #1: Discussion of the functionalities/reorganization of the MYDC


DISCUSSION: DILG MLGOO Nica Angelica D. Luzong emphasized the need to
reorganize the Municipal Youth Development Council in accordance with the
executive order from DILG. The executive order states that the MYDC should
have a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 20. Additionally, it is
necessary for the MYDC to conduct a quarterly meeting. Mrs. Luzong then
proceeded to present the functions of the MYDC. With this, LYDO stated that the
rooftop of the (Mayor’s Office) is one of the identified Youth Facilities.

AGENDA #2: Approval of the Local Youth Development Plan


DISCUSSION: LYDO presented the LYDP, stressed the importance of said file as
it contains the future plans for the youth to be executed by the MYDC.
ACTION: Finding the LYDP to have contained all the required information, Gian
Karlo M. Moran motioned for the approval of the LYDP duly seconded by Kent
Noel B. Lim and concurred in by all members present.

AGENDA #3: Gathering of ideas for possible activities for the youth in
compliance of the LYDP.
DISCUSSION: Hon. Arizobal suggested a Summer Tutorial Program. Mr. Capellan
then shared that their previous partner shared an opportunity as a means of
support. Mr. Moran also proposed that the Dimasalang National High School –
Senior High School STEM Strand have arranged a Community Outreach Program
about Environmental Awareness which will take place in Brgy. Canomay with the
participants consisting of children at around age 6 and above and will take place
in the month of May. Chernie Garcia suggested some activities namely:
Jamorawon Clean-up Drive and Feeding Program. Mr. Capellan and LYDO stated
that a Letter of Intent/Activity Design is needed for the aforementioned activities.
ACTION: Seeing no further complications, Mr. Migs V. Canete motioned for the
approval of the proposed Community Outreach Program on Environmental
Awareness duly seconded by Mr. Cleferd D. Concepcion and concurred in by all
the members present.

AGENDA #3: Discussion of the activities for the upcoming Foundation Day.
DISCUSSION: LYDO stated that the MYDC will be in partnership with the SK
Federation for the upcoming SK Night on June 21, 2024. Hon. Arizobal suggested
a Live Band Competition. Mr. Capellan emphasized that in order for a project to
happen, a project proposal is needed. Hon. Arizobal agreed to take on this task.
LYDO suggested to sell tickets for this Live Band Competition worth 50 pesos.

Announcement/s:
Another meeting will be held in the Month of June, 2024.

Approval of the Project Proposal for the Live Band Competition.
