Lesson Plan

Unit title Helping Nature


Subject: Emglish

Level: Intermediate
Duration: 80 minutes
Teacher: Jumayeva Leyla
Main Aim: To teach students to be aware of the content
vocabulary and how to use it.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to:
 To develop students’ understanding of the important causes of environmental problems and
some solutions
 To develop vocabulary related to climate change and environmental issues
 To develop pronunciation and dictionary skills

Material and Resources: Environmental problems student worksheet

Dictionaries or access to online dictionaries

Assumptions: Students will try to use new grammar and


vocabulary in their speech
Personal action points: To get students interested in the topic
 To give clear and short introduction
 To use the board to clarify the answers
 To monitor SS carefully while working in
pairs or groups
Anticipated problems: SS might not be familiar with the ideas, terms
which they will find at the lesson. SS might have difficulties in
answering some questions related to the topic.
Solutions: to give them enough time to think about questions or
do activities and then to discuss with them their answers.
Time Interaction
5 min T - SS Warm – up. Ask some daily questions

10 min T – SS, SS-T Explaining new grammar rule, practice it with students.
Presentation of the grammar topic – While explaining the
rule students are also involved to the process and try to
react.

10 min T – SS SS-SS Lead – in. Students walk around the class and talk to othe
students about environmental problems. Change partners often
and share your findings.

20 min T – SS Submitting activities according to the topic


SS - SS Role play
Ask students to discuss the topic in pairs.
Students give feedbacks.
Practise more. Teacher’s feedback.
15 min T – SS Presentation of the ” Environmental problems“ topic
SS – T
Activities about the vocabulary
SS - SS
15 min T-SS Reading and listening material
SS-T (listen and complete the text, read it, speak briefly about
the text, do True/False section, vocabulary task)
3min T - SS Assessment of the students.
2 min T - SS Give hometask
