PERHITUNGAN DENGAN METODE AASHTO 1972

(1). Analisa lalu lintas


Sedan = 500 kendaraan (50 %)
Truk Tunggal 8 T = 300 kendaraan (30 %)
Truk Tandem 20 T = 100 kendaraan (10 %)
Truk Gandeng 25 T = 100 kendaraan (10 %)
Total = 1000 kendaraan
Traffic pada akhir masa pelayanan
Pn = Po (1 + i)n
ADT10 = ADT0 (1 + 0,08)10
Sedan = 500 (1 + 0.08)10 = 1079 kendaraan
Truk tunggal 8 T = 300 (1 + 0.08)10 = 647 kendaraan
Truk Tandem 20 T = 100 (1 + 0.08)10 = 215 kendaraan
Truk Gandeng 25 T = 100 (1 + 0.08)10 = 215 kendaraan
Total = 2156 kendaraan
ADT waktu jalan dibuka = 1000 kendaraan
ADT pada waktu pelayanan = 2156 kendaraan

ADT rata-rata = = 1578 kendaraan

ADT rata-rata satu jurusan = = 789 kendaraan

Komposisi dengan ADT rata-rata satu jurusan sebagai berikut :


Sedan = 50% x 789 kendaraan = 384 kendaraan
Truk tunggal 8 T = 30% x 789 kendaraan = 236 kendaraan
Truk Tandem 20 T = 10% x 789 kendaraan = 79 kendaraan
Truk Gandeng 25 T = 10% x 789 kendaraan = 79 kendaraan
(2). Traffic Equivalen Faktor (TEF)
Ambil SN = 3,0 (taksiran)
Lapisan atas adalah aspal beton (AC) dengan Pt = 2,5
Sedan (2 T)
 As depan = 1 ton = 2 kips, TEF = 0,0003
 As belakang = 1 ton = 2 kips, TEF = 0,0003

Besaran yang didapat :
S = 4,1 CBR = 5 %
RF = 3,0
Equivalent Daily 18 KSAL = 116
Pt = 2,5
Dari nomogram didapat SN = 3,3
Didapat SN = 4,2 > SN taksiran (3,0)

(4). Mencar Traffic Equivalen Faktor (TEF) kembali dengan mengubah SN taksiran
Ambil SN = 4,0 (taksiran)

Dari nomogram didapat SN = 3,3
Didapat SN = 4,2 ≥ SN taksiran (4,0)
(6). Menghitung masing-masing tebal lapisan perkerasan (table c.4-1)
Surface course Aspal beton (AC) a1 = 0,40
Base Course Crushed Stone a2 = 0,14
Sub Base course Sandy gravel a3 = 0,11
SN = a1.D1 + a2.D2 + a3.D3
Dengan D1 = 2” dan D2 = 10” (ditentukan dari persyaratan minimum) sehingga :
4,0 = 0,40 . 2” + 0,14 . 10” + 0,11 D3

D3 = = 16,36”

Tebal sub base minimum = 4”
