PEORIA The public should

temper their expectations regarding snow removal, Mayor Jim Ardis said Tuesday . The mayor, speaking during a news conference ahead of announcing County Administrator Patrick Urich as the next city manager, said its important to manage expectations when events like the snowstorm that hit Peoria on Tuesday occur. The city is not properly equipped with manpower and equipment to move two feet of snow in a matter of hours, Ardis said. The cost to have that equipment and maintain it when you only use it once every maybe, 30 or 40 or 50 years , does not make sense. Ardis added, people need to understand it will take time
