1. Interview with fellow student and ask him or her of the significance of ethics to
him/herself?
• Ethics comes from external factors, our society. It serves as the basis and
foundation of a good morality of such group. That is why, the strong the society’s ethical
standards (the principles and codes o conduct), the more likely it influenced the person
ideals, thinking, and behavior. With that, we can say that ethics bound people to live in
place where there are rules about right and wrong. Although we are different as
individual, by making guidelines, we are all able to live in a more safer and united world.
a. A student
b. A daughter
As a young person, I can attest to the value of ethics since they have enabled me
to grow and enable me to make decisions based on my knowledge of right and
wrong rather than continually having to inform my parents of my mistakes. Due
to my ability to appropriately recognize the effects of my actions, my parents
don't always become irate and I don't develop bad habits with them. As a
daughter, I am also able to voice my opinion on any topic that is brought up in our
family, and I am also able to impart my knowledge on them, which, in my
opinion, makes them happy since I am kind. The youth are experiencing stressful
situation that can throw some of us into a downward struggle. However, it may be
even worse, particularly if they lack the maturity to make wise choices. When I
was young, society, my parents, and my school taught me how to analyze every
issue and come to judgments. Children who learn to distinguish between good and
evil tend to make wiser decisions. In turn, this provides individuals the confidence
to handle challenging circumstances.
3. Differentiate moral standards and non-moral standards and cite some examples.
It is imperative for everyone to note that different societies have been established by
different moral beliefs. Culture and context are greatly shaped by those beliefs. For this
reason, some values do have moral implications, while others simple don’t have.
Morality may refer to the standards that a person or a group has about what is right and
wrong, or good and evil. Accordingly, moral standards are those concerned with or
relating to human behavior, especially the distinction between good and bad (or right and
wrong) behavior. Morality is an innate sense, instinctively practiced, of what is in the
best interests of individuals, and the planet. It seeks to preserve, and perpetuate, freedom,
happiness, and innocent life. Moral standards examples - Keep your promises. Treat
others as you want to be treated.
