3. The sum of the magnitude of two vectors is 18 and the magnitude of its resultant is 12. If the

(b) Sketch a velocity-time graph to represent the motion of

7. (a) Define the term relative velocity and use it to explain why the earth rotates at a speed of

(b) Two vectors each of magnitude 𝒙 are inclined at angle 𝜃 to each other. Show that
magnitude of the resultant vector 𝑹 is given by:

(b) A block slides with uniform speed down an inclined plane, which is at an angle of 20𝑜

(c) A block of mass M rests on a plane of angle of inclination 𝜃 to the horizontal. A force P
is along the plane, which is required to cause the block just to slip up the plane. Derive
