W
Ladies and gentlemen, your attention please. As you have just heard we
have no option but to make an emergency landing/ditching in ______
minutes.
Your safety depends on you by keeping calm and your discipline. The
members of the crew have been specially trained to face situations
like this. We are proceeding towards the nearest airport/ship/coastline
and the rescue services have been alerted.
Now, please listen carefully to the following instructions. (PAUSE)
Remove your shoes and any sharp object; put them in the overhead
compartments. (PAUSE)
Switch off all electronic devices and stow them away. (PAUSE)
Loosen any tight clothing and remove all ties. (PAUSE) (THIS PAUSE HAS TO BE LONG
ENOUGH TO HAVE TIME TO CHECK THE CABIN)
Fasten your seat belts. (PAUSE) Look at the front. Now without looking,
release your seat belts. (PAUSE)
If you have any problem with your seat belt, put your hand up. A crew
member will help you. (PAUSE)
(Continued)
4 OVERWING EXITS
Go back to your normal position. (PAUSE)
When you hear the command “BRACE, BRACE” adopt this position. It
is important that you stay in the same position until the aircraft has
come to a complete stop. (PAUSE)
When the aircraft has stopped, you will hear either:
“CABIN CREW AND PASSENGERS REMAIN SEATED, CABIN CREW AND
PASSENGERS REMAIN SEATED” in which case please remain seated
until the crew gives you new instructions.
Or
“EVACUATE, EVACUATE” in which case release your seat belts and go as
quickly as possible to the nearest exit.
When you leave the aircraft:
• Leave your hand luggage on board.
• Help those passengers who require assistance.
• If you leave through a door with a slide, jump in a sitting position with
your arms extended.
• Move away from the aircraft quickly. (PAUSE)
The crew will now remind you of the location of the emergency exits. This
aircraft has 8 emergency exists: 2 doors at the front, 4 windows over
the wings and 2 doors at the rear, all marked with an illuminated sign.
Now locate them, remember the closest exit could be behind you. Now
locate your nearest exit. (PAUSE)

Remove the life vests from their wrapping and unfold them. (PAUSE)
Put your head through the opening, pass the strap around your waist, fasten
the clip at the front and adjust tightly. Do not inflate, we repeat, do not
inflate, the life vest inside the aircraft. Only when you get outside you
can inflate it by pulling firmly downwards on the two red toggles. If you
need to inflate it, blow into the red tubes. (PAUSE)
Now, read the safety instructions carefully. (PAUSE)
After having read the safety instructions, PAX who wear glasses must

BRIEFING TO ABPS FOR FLOOR LEVEL DOORS:
We are facing an emergency and I need your help, can you help me? (PAUSE)
Once landed, the command “EVACUATE, EVACUATE”, will be given from
the cockpit.
DITCHING: I need your help to avoid people pushing me out in the moment
I will prepare the door for the evacuation. When the exit is ready, you
will be the first to jump into the water. Reach the slide that will float
close to the aircraft and help other people.
DITCHING: You need to check if the outside conditions are safe. If the door
is below the floatation level, physically block this exit and redirect
passengers to another one.
If conditions are safe, grasp this handle (SHOW THE FRAME ASSIST HANDLE)
and lift up this red lever (SHOW THE CONTROL HANDLE). Pull as well a red
inflation handle that will be visible on the right side on the floor.
This will allow the slide to inflate, then a white handle will be visible under
the slide flap, pull it to separate the slide from the aircraft.
Shout to people to jump into the water, and to inflate their life jacket
outside.
If I were an obstacle, this is the way in which my seatbelt can be unfastened
(LET HIM/HER DO IT); release my seatbelt and get me out.
Once everyone is out, jump into the water, inflate your lifevest and reach
the slide.
In the slide pocket on the left hand side, you will find a knife; cut the rope
and move to a safe area.
