DISCUSSIONS:

1. Preparation of the Barangay in Any Disaster

The Sangguniang Barangay discussed initiatives to enhance disaster


preparedness. SB Member Nelia S. Arellano reported the successful conduct
of the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held in Purok
Dahlia last Novermber 14, 2024 at 2:00 in the afternoon. The activity was
attended by residents, and an assembly area was identified for use in the
event of an earthquake, ensuring a designated safe space for evacuation.

SB Member Saldo P. Solis also informed the body about an Orientation


on Fire Drill to be conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on
November 25, 2024, in the morning. The activity will involve Barangay
Tanods, KKDAT members, and other volunteers. It was suggested to invite
other interested individuals to participate to broaden community
involvement and awareness.

The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee


(BDRRMC) was directed to review and update contingency plans, with
emphasis on regular inventory checks for emergency supplies such as first
aid kits, food packs, and other essentials.

Furthermore, the Barangay Rescue Team will continue conducting


disaster response drills, including evacuation and rescue exercises.
Coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office
(CDRRMO) will be undertaken to secure additional technical training and
support. Barangay officials will also assess and ensure that designated
evacuation centers are safe and properly equipped to serve residents in
emergencies.

2. Review of the Barangay Development Plan (BDP)

The body reviewed the Barangay Development Plan (BDP) to assess its
alignment with the barangay’s current needs and priorities. The Presiding
Officer directed the Sangguniang Barangay members to re-evaluate ongoing
programs and projects to determine their impact and progress.

Key areas identified for review include health services, infrastructure


projects, youth development programs, and disaster risk reduction
initiatives. Suggestions for improvement were welcomed from all members
to ensure that the plan remains responsive and inclusive. The Barangay
Secretary was tasked to consolidate inputs and ensure compliance with
guidelines set by the Department of the Interior and Local Government
(DILG).

ADJOURNMENT:

The meeting concluded with the scheduling of the next session on


December 17, 2024. The adjournment took place promptly at 4:23 PM.
