Work piece back and forth in parts, bottom up and sewn together when finished. Work
sleeves back and forth on circular needle, bottom up. NOTE: When increasing/decreasing
in false English rib, always count yarn over + slipped stitch as 1 stitch.!

BACK PIECE:!
Cast on 72-78-81-90-96-105 stitches (including 1 edge stitch in each side) on circular
needle size 10 mm = US 15. Work first row as follows from right side: Work 1 edge stitch in
GARTER STITCH – read explanation above, * knit 1, purl 2 together *, work from *-* until 2
stitches remain, finish with knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 49-53-55-61-65-71
stitches. Then work as follows from wrong side (read diagram from left towards right):
Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, A.1 until 1 stitch remains and finish with 1 edge stitch in
garter stitch. Pattern begins and ends with 1 knit stitch in false English rib inside 1 edge
stitch in garter stitch in each side of piece, seen from right side. Continue pattern like this.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 10 cm = 4” - READ
MEASURING TIP, work next row as follows from wrong side: Purl over all stitches
(continue with 1 edge stitch in each side). Then work according to A.2. Work 3-3-3-4-4-4
repetitions of A.2 vertically. Now work 1 row as follows from right side: 1 edge stitch in

Purl all stitches. Then work according to A.2. When piece measures 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm
= 23 5/8"-24 3/8"-25 1/4"-26"-26 3/4"-27 1/2", decrease for neck as follows: Bind off the
middle 13-13-15-15-17-17 stitches and finish each shoulder separately. Then decrease 1

follows: Slip the middle 9-9-11-11-13-13 stitches on a stitch holder and finish each
shoulder separately. Continue to bind off in each side towards the neck on every other row

Work piece back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 39-42-42-45-45-48 stitches
(including 1 edge stitch in each side) on circular needle size 10 mm =US 15. Work first row
as follows from right side: Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * knit 1, purl 2 together *,
work from *-* until 2 stitches remain, finish with knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch =
27-29-29-31-31-33 stitches. Then work as follows from wrong side (read diagram from left
towards right): Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, A.1 until 1 stitch remains and finish with
1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Pattern begins and ends with 1 knit stitch in false English rib
inside 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side of piece, seen from right side. Continue
pattern like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 10 cm = 4”,
work next row as follows from wrong side: Purl over all stitches (continue with 1 edge stitch
in each side). Then work according to A.2. Continue pattern like this. AT THE SAME TIME
when piece measures 12 cm = 4 3/4”, begin increase in the sides on sleeve. Increase 1
stitch in each side inside 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, increase every 9-8-8-7½-7½-7½ cm
= 3 1/2”-3 1/8”-3 1/8”-2 7/8”-2 7/8”-2 7/8” 5 times in total = 37-39-39-41-41-43 stitches.
Work new stitches in the pattern. When 2 repetitions of A.2 have been worked, work 1 row
as follows from right side: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat from *-*
until 2 stitches remain, knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Then work A.1 (work first
row from wrong side), and pattern begins and ends with 1 knit stitch in false English rib

When piece measures 41-40-40-38-38-37 cm = 16 1/8”-15 3/4”-15 3/4”-15”-5”-14 1/2”
work next row as follows from wrong side: Purl all stitches. Then work according to A.2.
When piece measures 49-48-48-46-45-44 cm = 19 1/4”-19”-19”-18”-17 3/4”-17
1/4” (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders), bind off. Work
another sleeve the same way.!

ASSEMBLY:!
Sew left shoulder seam (when garment is in front of you).!

NECK EDGE: !
Begin at the top of right should towards the neck on front piece, pick up (including stitches
on stitch holder) approx. 65-75 stitch along front and back piece. Work piece back and
forth on circular needle and sew together in the side when finished. Knit 1 row from wrong
side, work next row as follows from right side: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * knit 1, purl 1
*, repeat from *-* and finish with knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Then work as
follows from wrong side (read diagram from left towards right): Work 1 edge stitch in garter
stitch, A.1 until 1 stitch remains and finish with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Pattern begins
and ends with 1 knit stitch in false English rib inside 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each
side of piece, seen from right side. Continue pattern like this. When neck edge measures
20 cm = 8”, bind off with K over K and P over P. Sew neck edge together, sew in outer
loops of edge stitches to avoid a chunky seam. Sew right shoulder seam.!

ASSEMBLY:!
Sew in sleeves and sew underarm seams and side seams in one in outer loops of ridges.!
