JOB DESCRIPTION

1. JOB DETAILS:
Position Title: Senior Director - Product Engineering
Reporting To: Chief Technology & Information Officer
Department: Technology
Location: Bangalore

3. JOB OBJECTIVE:

End to end ownership of consumer facing product

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description
• End to end ownership of product delivery ensuring code quality, system scalability and high
availability.
• Build technically strong engineering team operating on agile principles.
• Setup processes to enhance developer productivity and product delivery predictability.
• Work with the business users for defining the project scope and timelines.
• Manage change management and expectations with various stakeholders.
• Work with Architects, Developers, Quality Engineers, Application Support, Vendors and Dev Ops
teams to ensure all planning from Design, Infrastructure, Development to Production and Post-
Production are covered.
• Formulate and execute project plans and manage cross-functional teams.
• Work with Cloud Providers to get the underlying technology Infrastructure ready.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this position, as the job requires
heavy interaction with business, other IT groups and 3rd parties on an ongoing basis.
• Self-motivated, pro-active individual, comfortable working in fast paced environment, ability to
move the needle despite ambiguous inputs.
• Ability to drive a project from concept to delivery.
• Prior experience in working closely with technical and business teams to deliver quality software
implementations.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycles.
• Excellent project management experience: planning, scheduling, project communication, issue
resolution, change management, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage cross functional teams consisting of developers, vendors, and business users.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Very detail oriented and organized with a strong discipline of adhering to standards.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision while maintaining a high level of
efficiency.
• Must be flexible and quick to adapt to sudden changes and issues.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership.

5. SPECIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES:


• Bachelor of engineering in Computer Science or equivalent
• 10-12 years in technology management roles with full ownership of product(s) engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability of building scalable and highly available products
• Hands on experience in building consumer facing apps/products
• Experience in data driven products is a plus
