 As Head of Engineering Design at Khartoum State Water Corporation, I


led the team in designing, implementing, and managing critical water
supply and sanitation programs across Khartoum State and other
regions in Sudan. I played a pivotal role in identifying strategic
priorities, designing and implementing infrastructure for water and
sanitation projects in the Corporation, and ensuring alignment with
national development goals and international standards.
 Oversaw the planning and implementation of urban and rural water
supply systems, including the design of water networks, transmission
lines, and treatment facilities.
 I have conducted several training programs for engineers and
technical staff on tools such as ArcGIS, EPANET, and WaterGEMS. To
enhance the capacity of local professionals to design and improve
water systems, contributing to the long-term sustainability of water
and sanitation.
 I have provided expert advice for the design, improvement, and
implementation of water and sanitation infrastructure, with a focus on
integrating sustainable solutions to meet the increasing demand for
water.

PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED

 2020 - Designed water network and transfer lines for ELMisaiktab


villages water supply project, at the River Nile state in Sudan

 2020 - Designed water supply project for ELDamar city at the River Nile
state in Sudan. The project contained two raw, hydraulic designs for
water treatment plant, water supply network, and transfer lines, bill of
quantities.

 2019- Designed raw water intake water transfer lines for ELJabria village
north state in Sudan

 ELQadarif Water Supply & Optimization Project: 2016–2017


Role: Consultant, Project Manager
 Acted as a consultant and advisor for the ELQadarif Water Supply and
Optimization Project, enhancing water access for residents.
 Designed efficient water networks, optimized transfer lines, and supervised
installation.
 Ensured sustainability through training local engineers in network design and
hydraulic systems.

 Darfur & Other Regions: 2015


Role: Water Supply & Sanitation Manager
 Contracted for four months with the German company Hydroplan as a water and
sanitation engineer to work in South, East, and North Darfur in the camps of
Malha, Tawila, Kutum, Salam, Koma, and Sailiya for the process of resettling and
rehabilitating refugees.
 Design the water supply and optimization project with Fours company
for the new residential area in Medani: 2015
The project includes:
 Estimate the total daily demand for potable water required by the project and
determine the suitable number of boreholes and high-level tanks.
 Design and sizing of the water primary and secondary lines.
 Design the water internal network.

 2014- design a water supply system that transfer water from


Ommaraheek village to Eyal-bakheet village in wester kordufan state.
The project contains:
• Water supply line 6-inch diameter and 40-kilometer length.
• Two booster stations
• High-level tank
• Bill of quantities

 North Kordufan State/water supply and optimization project: 2013


Role: Advisory, Al-Abyad State Water Corporation
A delegate from Khartoum State Water Corporation to El Obeid City, North Kordofan State to work
within a field advisory team participating in North Kordofan Renaissance projects in the water supply
and improvement sector. Under the direct supervision of the governor. The period lasted for four
months.
Important tasks:
 Design the city's water network and water transmission lines and prepare quantity schedules.
 Review the design and operation of all equipment in water treatment plants and booster stations.
 Supervise the installation of water networks
 Participate in all meetings held by the state governor weekly to follow up and discuss the challenges
facing them and identify solutions.
 Participate in preparing weekly reports to follow up on the work.
 Participate in a training course at JICA headquarters in El Obeid City to train El Obeid Water
Corporation engineers on designing the water network and transmission lines using ArcGIS, MapInfo,
and EPANET programs.

 Kareema City Water Scarcity Solutions: 2013


Role: Delegate, Khartoum State Water Authority
 Designed 12-inch water lines and high-level tanks for multiple villages in North Sudan.
 Identified pump station sites and supervised water system installations.

 2012 Designed and supervised the installation of 6-inch line, to optimize the water supply for the
National Security Agency camp in Jili city, east of Khartoum refinery.

 North Bahari Villages Water Supply Project: Dec 2010 - Dec 2011
Participated as a member of the KSWC team of engineers to study and propose a
solution to the water crisis in the villages of North Bihari for about 30 villages south
of the ELTumaniat Water Treatment Plant.
Although the total amount of water produced by the treatment plant of 50,000 cubic
meters per day was higher than the actual daily demand calculated at 33,000 cubic
meters per day, there was severe water shortage in all the villages
The task included:
 Checking the efficiency and performance of the pumps and the entire system in
the water treatment plant.
 Inspecting the water treatment units
 Inspecting the sizes and capacities of the primary and secondary water
transmission lines to the villages
 Detecting leaks.

 Bi-Water Company (Omdurman Project) 2008–2010


Role: Water Supply & Sanitation Engineer
Contributed to the Elmanara Water Supply and Optimization Project, focusing
on water network design, leakage detection, and pressure control.
 Design the water transfer lines and networks in DMA mode.
 Water pressure monitoring and control
 Leakage detection and control
 Supervision of water supply system works and installations
 Preparation of weekly reports about workflow.
 Participated in the weekly meeting to discuss, evaluate, and prescribe the
appropriate solutions to the challenges encountered.

 2004: Nile River State Water Optimization


Role: Technical Committee Member
 Studied and resolved water issues for Atbara, ElDamar, and Barbar cities.
 Provided recommendations on equipment upgrades and system efficiency.
MY ACHIEVEMENTS
 I have led the improvement of water supply systems in Khartoum State,
enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.
 I have designed water supply projects for many villages across Sudan, benefiting
thousands of people in remote and slum areas through improved access to water.
 My team and I have successfully mitigated the water crisis in North Kordofan,
Darfur, White Nile and other areas through innovative engineering solutions and
collaboration with stakeholders.
 I have organized and facilitated capacity building workshops for engineers in
Darfur, Kordofan and other states, focusing on hydraulic modeling and GIS
applications.
