IV. PROCEDURES
Pre-Activity
1. Review How do you protect yourself? Why is it important to protect yourself and others?
2. Motivation What is a problem you faced recently?
3. Presentation Introduce Problem-Solving Strategies:
1. Identify the Problem: Understand what the issue is.
2. Brainstorm Solutions: Think of different ways to address the problem.
3. Evaluate Options: Discuss the pros and cons of each solution.
4. Choose a Solution: Decide which option seems best.
5. Implement the Solution: Put the chosen solution into action
6. Reflect on the Outcome: Consider what worked and what didn’t.
Activity Proper
1. Group Activity Directions: On a piece of paper, copy the table below and complete it by writing the
possible solution you can do to address the given problem.

2. Abstraction a. Class Sharing: Invite students to share one solution they found effective in
their reflections.
b. Exit Ticket: Have each student write down one new strategy they learned
today that they can apply in future situations.
3. Application Always keep in mind the golden rule “Do for others what you want them to do to
you”. If you want to be treated nicely, you have to treat others in a good manner as
well. So be careful with your actions.
V. EVALUATION Observe group discussions for engagement and understanding of problem-solving
strategies.

VI. ASSIGNMENT Encourage students to create posters illustrating different problem-solving strategies
that can be displayed in the classroom.
