CONTENT OF THE STUDIO


-Data collection, analysis and program development appropriate to the structure of the design problem
-Place, program, space, identity and representation are discussed in the context of the design problem
-Design of long-span spaces, interrelate technology-design, interpretation/reading of space typologies, and
production of solution to the complex urban fabric
- Research the structure and building systems throughout the design process

LEARNING OUTCOMES OF STUDIO


-The ability to read and analyse complex urban patterns/fabrics
-The skill of studying interdisciplinary throughout the architectural design process
-The ability to research advanced technology-material possibilities in the context of design, involving spaces that
require long-span in an urban environment of special character
-The ability to develop techniques of representation specific to the scope, as well as technical competence, in
graphical expression of architectural idea

PRIOR CONDITION OF STUDIO


It is required to be successful (pass) in Architectural Design Studio II.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO III


SUBJECTS, PROJECT AREA AND PROGRAM
Attached files (maps);
A museum/library will be designed. Architectural program are given. Students will develop programs based on the
potentials of the selected area and on the urban analyses.

STUDENT OBLIGATIONS
There is an obligation to attend 80% of the class/lesson/lecture. It is compulsory to have full time in the studio during
the course hours, to receive criticism from the course instructor, to participate in juries and to fulfil the determined
project delivery conditions.
Incomplete submissions may be a reason for failing the course. Submissions will be announced via e-mail through
the course.
The submissions must be submitted in accordance with the technical drawing rules. Drawings must be in
accordance with the Architectural represantation language. Submission not made on time will be deemed invalid.

COURSE EVALUATION CRITERIA


Semester work, semester juries, sketch exam and submitted "architectural project" will be evaluated together at the
end of the semester. (See Course Evaluation Form)

Architectural Design Studio III has no makeup exam.
