PART A (10*2=20 Marks)

1) What is Multimedia Data File Formats for the web?

An image file format is a file format for a digital image. There are many formats that can be
used, such as JPEG, PNG, and GIF. The data stored in an image file format may be compressed
or uncompressed.

3) Explain about the Graphics and Animation File Formats.

The format used for the animation is entirely based around how complex the animation is, where
the animation is designed to be used; such as a webpage, and how large the file is for the animation.
Different formats for animations include animated GIFs, Dynamic HTML such as Java,
Shockwave and Flash.

with lossless compression, such as FLAC, Monkey's Audio (filename extension . ape ), WavPack
(filename extension .

each of the red, green and blue components of the model (8 bits for each channel) are represented
on a scale from 0 to 255.

HSV color model is an inverted hexagonal cone with black at the apex (V=0) and white at the center
(V=1) of the hexagonal base.
