(INCLUDING THULUVA VELLALAS) CASTE UNDER GROUP-D AT SL.No. 39 IN THE LIST OF
BACKWARD CLASSES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ARTICLE 15(4) AND 16(4) OF THE CONSTITUTION
OF INDIA.

1. G.O.Ms.No.1793, Education Department, dated 23-9-1970.


2. From the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad, D.O. Letter No.C1/195/2006,
dated 31-3-2008.
In the G.O. 1st read above, the Government have approved the list of Backward Classes (other than Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes) and declared that the Castes and Communities specified in Annexure-I to the said order
are Socially and Educationally Backward Classes for the purposes of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of
India.
2. The President of Chittoor Mudaliar Sangham submitted a representation requesting to include Aghamudian,
Aghamudiar, Agamudivellalar and Agamudimudaliar (including Thuluva Vellalas) caste in the list of Backward
Classes.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad has
submitted a report, recommending that the “Aghamudian, Aghamudiar, Agamudivellalar and Agamudimudaliar
(including Thuluva Vellalas)” caste is socially and educationally backward for the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4)
of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-D at Serial No.39 and
the area of operation shall be confined to Chittoor, Nellore, Kurnool, Ananthapur, Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts
only”.

4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “Aghamudian, Aghamudiar, Agamudivellalar
and Agamudimudaliar (including Thuluva Vellalas)” in the list of Backward Classes under Group-D at Serial No.39
of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Aghamudian, Aghamudiar, Agamudivellalar and
Agamudimudaliar (including Thuluva Vellalas)” be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-D at
Serial No.39 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India and the area of operation shall be
confined to Chittoor, Nellore, Kurnool, Ananthapur, Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts only”.
6. The Director, Backward Classes Welfare, Hyderabad and all the District Collectors are hereby directed to
take necessary action accordingly.

INCLUSION OF BERI VYSYA/BERI CHETTY CASTE UNDER GROUP-B AT SL.No. 40 IN THE LIST OF
BACKWARD CLASSES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ARTICLE 15(4) AND 16(4) OF THE CONSTITUTION
OF INDIA.

Read the following:

1. G.O.Ms.No.1793, Education Department, dated 23-9-1970.


2. From the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad, D.O. Letter No.C1/195/2006,
dated 31-3-2008.
In the G.O. 1st read above, the Government have approved the list of Backward Classes (other than Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes) and declared that the Castes and Communities specified in Annexure-I to the said order
are Socially and Educationally Backward Classes for the purposes of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of
India.
2. The President of Beri Vysya Community Welfare Association, Palmaneru, Chittoor District submitted an
application requesting to include their caste in the list of Backward Classes on the ground that the said caste is
socially, educationally and economically backward. Beri Chetty Sangam, Nellore also sent an application making
similar request.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad has
submitted a report, recommending that the “Beri Vysya/Beri Chetty” caste is socially and educationally backward
for the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of Backward
Classes under Group-D at Serial No.40 and the area of operation shall be confined to Chittoor, Nellore, and Krishna
Districts only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “Beri Vysya/Beri Chetty” in the list of
Backward Classes under Group-D at Serial No.40 of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Beri Vysya/Beri Chetty” be included in the list of
Backward Classes under Group-D at Serial No.40 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of
India and the area of operation shall be confined to Chittoor, Nellore and Krishna Districts only”.
6. The Director, Backward Classes Welfare, Hyderabad and all the District Collectors are hereby directed to
take necessary action accordingly.

CLASSES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ARTICLE 15(4) AND 16(4) OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.

submitted a report, recommending that the “Lodh/Lodhi/Lodha “ caste is socially and educationally backward for
the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of Backward Classes
under Group-B at Serial No.23 and the area of operation shall be confined to Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Khammam
and Adilabad Districts only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “Lodh/Lodhi/Lodha” in the list of Backward
Classes under Group-B at Serial No.23 of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Lodh/Lodhi/ Lodha” be included in the list of
Backward Classes under Group-B at Serial No.23 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of
India and the area of operation shall be confined to Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Khammam and Adilabad Districts
only”.

CASTE UNDER GROUP-A AT SL.No. 45 IN THE LIST OF BACKWARD CLASSES FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ARTICLE 15(4) AND 16(4) OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.

Read the following:

2. The Founder and Organisor, Pala Ekari Association, Nagari submitted a Memorandum contending that
Mutharasi or Mudiraj are included in BC-D group and Pala Ekari commuity is also similar to that community. 80%
of the people are illiterates and they may be included in the list of Backward Classes.

3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad has
submitted a report, recommending that the “Pala-Ekari, Ekila, Vyakula, Ekiri, Nayanivaru, Palegaru, Tolagari, Kavali”
caste is socially and educationally backward for the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and
fit to be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.45 and the area of operation shall be
confined to Chittoor, Cuddapah, Kurnool, Anantapur, Nellore, Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “Pala-Ekari, Ekila, Vyakula, Ekiri, Nayanivaru,
Palegaru, Tolagari, Kavali” in the list of Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.45 of the existing list of
Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Pala-Ekari, Ekila, Vyakula, Ekiri, Nayanivaru,
Palegaru, Tolagari, Kavali” be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.45 for the

FOR THE PURPOSE OF ARTICLE 15(4) AND 16(4) OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.

Read the following:
1. G.O.Ms.No.1793, Education Department, dated 23-9-1970.
2. From the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad, D.O. Letter No.C1/195/2006,
dated 26-3-2008.
In the G.O. 1st read above, the Government have approved the list of Backward Classes (other than Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes) and declared that the Castes and Communities specified in Annexure-I to the said order
are Socially and Educationally Backward Classes for the purposes of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of
India.
2. The District Convener of Arava Community Association, Poosarlapadu Village of Srikakulam District
submitted a Memorandum to A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad requesting to include Arava
Community in the list of Backward Classes. He represented that their community is socially, educationally and
economically backward in the State.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad, has
submitted a report, recommending that the “Arava” caste is socially and educationally backward for the purpose of
Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of Backward Classes under
Group-D at Serial No.36, and the area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam District only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “ Arava” in the list of Backward Classes
under Group-D at Serial No.36 of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Arava” be included in the list of Backward Classes
under Group-D at Serial No.36 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India and the area of
operation is confined to Srikakulam District only.
6. The Director, Backward Classes Welfare, Hyderabad and all the District Collectors are hereby directed to
take necessary action accordingly.

Group-D at Serial No.37, and the area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam,
East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Gutur ,Khammam and Warangal Districts only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “ Ayyaraka” in the list of Backward Classes
under Group-D at Serial No.37 of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Ayyaraka” be included in the list of Backward
Classes under Group-D at Serial No.37 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India and the
area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari,
Krishna, Gutur, Khammam and Warangal Districts only”.

Group-D at Serial No.38 and the area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam,Krishna, Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts only”.

Classes under Group-D at Serial No.38 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India and the

Districts only”.

Group-A at Serial No.43 and the area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam
Districts only”.

3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad has
submitted a report, recommending that the “Samanthula/Samantha/Sountia/Sauntia” caste is socially and educationally
backward for the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of
Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.44 and the area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam Districts
only”.
4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have accepted the recommendation of the
A.P. Commission for Backward Classes and decided to include the caste “Samanthula/Samantha/Sountia/Sauntia” in
the list of Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.44 of the existing list of Backward Classes in the G.O. 1st
read above.
5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Samanthula/Samantha/Sountia/Sauntia” be included
in the list of Backward Classes under Group-A at Serial No.44 for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the
Constitution of India area of operation shall be confined to Srikakulam District only”.
6. The Director, Backward Classes Welfare, Hyderavad and all the District Collectors are hereby directed to
take necessary action accordingly.
